I have a question for this thread, do angels have physical bodies or are they entirely spiritual? Do any visual imaginary of them only exist for our benefit?
the angels at Sodom and Gomorrah
I think that sometimes when they come in human form they can be see by anyone present. But other times I think they can be seen only by the person they are intended to be seen by. I say that because someone else experienced something at my home but I didn't see it.

I would caution you in believing in stories of people saying that they saw an angel. Sometimes people can exaggerate a bit.

First thing that came to my mind was the angels that came to Lot's house in Genesis 19. Im sure Ive read somewhere that some angels are something like 8-10 foot tall.
Same ones that visited Abraham.

But he

No he was not bad at all, in fact the opposite .He seemed to be protecting her .He looked like an every day normal man , but a bit ethereal . He knew that I knew ,but for whatever reason ,he had been sent as her 'brother and if I said anything he would have to go .
As I am writing this it is getting clearer .
Oh I just mean the situation of being implanted in the world. I should have worded that better now that I read it. Let me know if you remember more. I find this subject very interesting.

I heard one story, which I will have to terribly paraphrase from memory, about a woman who ate lunch on a park bench everyday. There was a rapist who had his eye on her but every time he saw her she was with a man on the bench. He got caught or something like that putting her in the position to hear from him and he said he would have taken her but for the man that sat beside her everday. She sat alone.

J.P. Moreland had I think 3 angels guarding him according to someone who attended one of his speeches.

I think that's talking about some people who resided in that area and some people believe them to be fallen angels. Don't take what I said for truth though. It's just something I read a long time ago and I could be completely wrong.

I agree.
If we hadn't been very close friends for over 30 yrs. and I had never known them to exaggerate or lie, as well as the fact that they had been a Christian for almost 45 yrs. and they were completely surprised, I would have questioned it. This happened about 10 yrs. ago. But every time I have tried to question it, I just know that it is true. So I finally gave up trying to question it.

Interesting as I think that maybe the case in my story .She saw him ,but others did not ,so that is why she wanted me to film him ,and of course he was not in the film .
He knew that I could see him too .

Interesting. I don't deny that it is possible but I am skeptical.

I think they are around a great deal more than we realize.

But rarely seen. That is usually not necessary.

(This is not a comment on the truth or not of any particular story - just that it's not a rare thing at all for them to be present.)

They project the appearance that's necessary for the task at hand.

This.

The author of Hebrews describes angels as "ministering spirits".

Asking what angels "look like" is kind of like asking what what a number tastes like. Angels don't have a "look" because they are incorporeal creatures.

Angels do take on form, usually a human form, for God's purposes. But not always. And in visionary experiences, such as the one Isaiah has, angels are described in profound and sometimes bizarre ways. Isaiah, for example, in his vision sees the seraphim as having six wings. In yet another case, however, Ezekiel beholds angels with the appearance of "wheels within wheels".

I usually make the assumption that angels are around, but tend to not give too much thought to it beyond that assumption. Their service is between them and the Lord, and I trust Him and His charge over them to do what they are supposed to do. The Scriptures do, after all, tell us, "For He will order His angels to protect you in all you do." (Psalm 91:11)

I think that thinking about angels can be another form of idolatry. Some people worship them. It would take off the focus from God if we focused on them too much. I would have to agree with this post. We should not pay attention to angels and I think that angels generally try to avoid getting attention and make sure to present all glory to God. Demon's presences are more known because they are attempting to divert our attention from God. What do you think?

I agree, angels are always depicted in Scripture as turning attention away from themselves, because they are only creatures, and fellow servants. If one had an experience of something that claimed to be an angel, and if it wasn't simply human imagination running wild or the result of mental illness, then that should be a huge red flag. The Apostle tells us that the devil likes to appear as an angel of light. Thus an experience of an "angel" is something I'd say should immediately cause us to call on the name of the Lord Jesus.

If someone claimed to experience an angel, my first response would be skepticism--that it's nothing but a product of the human mind. But if it is a legitimate experience of something other, I would encourage crying out to Jesus. I'm not denying the possibility of an angelic encounter, but I'd consider it a very dangerous thing; for what reason would an angel have to show itself to us?

In all things, seek Christ and pray. And after you have prayed, pray again. Pray without ceasing, as the Apostle says.

I know what they look like.

I not only saw them, but also played with them and sang with them and they told me story's when I was a baby still in my crib .

I was about three or four years old.

All of them at he time where woman, all human like appearance, Light surrounded them all, not a golden glowing light like in movies but a translucent real light as you can see through them but did not pay much attention to it as you only pay attention to there appearance as they speak to you.

They can touch you and talk to you just like regular people.

They all wore robes but you never really notice much as you really just pay attention to there company as you would most real people in a real visit.

In any human visit you dont pay much attention to there clothes, But I still do remember they did where robes.

There hair was all dressed up and done well in buns and neat styles.

I dont remember eye colors but I assume they all had different eye colors, why not?

I dont remember different races either, All I remember is the group would sit one behind the other in a line on the floor before me to sign to me and tell me story's and read me the bible and also the book of Enoch.

I remember the book of Enoch very well, and this is the miracle to me, As I remember them telling me the names of the Angels in that book, there names and positions and what they represented.

The cool thing is the book of Enoch was not ever translated and made into public books till after I was a teen and not to the world for publication.

The book was translated into other languages in the 1800s but not to the world.

So when I read the book online, and the same names of angels where there with the same positions and duties I almost freaked out and remembered.

One word can describe them all.

Love.

It's not necessary to think much about angels because they will only do precisely as instructed by the Lord. Whatever they do or say, it will be as though they were appendages of the Lord. It may be that all direct interaction with the physical world is actually through angels carrying out the commands of the Lord. Or maybe not. But it doesn't matter because the word of command is always the Lord.

We have no scriptural evidence that they can change form. Visible to invisible, yes; but not from human form to 6 wings with eyes all over the place; or 4 heads, etc.

So what you are describing with those various images are different categories of angels.

There are layers to the spiritual. That is, the spiritual is "other dimensional" and complicated, and there may be more than one right answer.

The Spiritual

I have a sword. You have never see a sword before. (Lets say) I have a sword, and I point the sword menacingly at a camera. A picture is taken. I show you the picture. You are afraid of the sword. The menacing picture is the only context in which you have known the sword. I stand over the sword and take a picture of the sword. I show you the picture. You now have a new context for what a sword is. You may still fear the sword. I take a picture of the sword with the handle pointing at the camera like I am offering it to you. I show you the picture. Your perspective has changed? You lost some fear?

The spiritual is other dimensional.

God has warrior angels. They seem to like:
