Some christian lady said I was taking over by the devil because I had so many disablities. They said depression means the devil is in control of you. I don't think they are right.

I also ran into a christian lady who was saying how this 13 mos old at her daycare would scream and pitch fits and bite and scratch and she thought it was the devil. and when I tried to tell her there was probably a physical or emotional reason for it (possibly abuse) she got mad and called me an idiot and stupid and tried to cast demons out of me

it was that lady's responsibility to report suspicions of abuse...but no...she insisted it was the devil doing it and the baby was possessed

The devil isn't the cause for everything. Kids usually act like that if they are being abused, for all we know the woman could be hitting the child. The baby isn't taking over by the devil, she is for thinking such an evil thought.

I know I told her the baby was most likely acting out because of abuse and she needed to report it and get it investigated. but that's when she started calling me names and trying to cast the devil out of me.

While I do not know exactly what the women said, she may have meant the child(poster with many disabilities) was allowing the devil into their lives. Disability and depression don't always go hand in hand...but then again I'm just assuming about what she could have meant.

Its so hard. I have self harmed sence I was 13, but never got help until a few years ago. I became suisidal, and ended up in the hospital. Now I'm on lodes of Meds I can't even read the names of.

I hate it, and some says are so hard I just want to hide from everyone and everything.

I have "moderate" CP. My legs won't straighten out completely, and I use crutches and a wheelchair. I also have a slight spasiticity in my fingers. My thinking and speech are not affected though.

I also struggled with severe depression for a long time, although I have gotten much better over the last two years (mainly due to coming to know God more deeply).

I have chiari malformation (my cerebellum is distended into my spinal canal) Syringomyelia (cyst in spinal cord) caused by that, Ehlers Danlos (Loose connective Tissue), Polycycstic Ovaries Syndrome, Asthma, Cytomegalo Virus, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia

And I'm only 19 and the first 4 were only diagnosed last year. I have had brain surgery to try correct the first 2 to some degree but I still have problems related to the thrid one so right now we are at a stand still. Because of my conditions I have limnited to no feeling down my right side and left arm...pain down there as well and in my head and neck....lose of fine motor skills, congitive issues, extreme fatigue and partial paralysis at times and problems with my vision.

And those symtoms are the only ones I can remember right now!

Hey all . . . Just found this section!

I have sever Chronic fatigue syndrome . . . I was diagnosed nine and a half months ago and am no better . . .if anything im a little worse . . . I am housebound, can no longer drive, i have developed insomnia and heaps of other awful symptoms such as Fybromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome, restless leg syndrome . . . and a tonne more . . .

My prognosis isnt to great because of my chemical sensitivities . . . it i come in contact with anything im sensitive too, for the rest of my life, it will make me ten times worse . . .

Sucks, i know . . . But God is faithful and we just need to keep that in mind!

I have an unusual case of CP. CP usually affects the legs, but in my case it affects my arms and hands so I ave to write, type, play video games, play boardgames, play cards, draw, etc. with my feet. When people first see me, they think I'm stupid then they find out that they're wrong.

Diagnosed as rapid cycling bipolar 13 years ago, Full disability for my back after 4 major surgeries.
Facing another surgery in the next 6 to 8 weeks.
