CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As far as the question of the title is concerned, none of us really knows how the Helsinki meeting turned out and neither do any of the talking heads on TV and the White House press corpsmen--because the meeting was between the two men. All that the news is going by is impressions from the press conference where the details of anything that happened were not revealed.

26% of Americans show strong approval for trump. 41% of Americans show strong disapproval for Trump. That the people on your street are prospering does not change these facts.

You are assuming that those figures are correct rather than the more accurate polling that puts the approval rating in the 40s...and also that people who are actually doing better will, in all cases, be willing to say anything positive about the President regardless.

Both numbers are correct. Trumps approval rating is made up of those who strongly approve at 26% and those who slightly approve at 15%.
