Well, like most other parties, there is a wide range of opinion, just as it is with the Republicans and democrats. It was merely a passing observation on my part, not a big deal, but people tend to talk as though the ideology and the party are interchangeable.

San Diego county is pretty Red. I have no doubt there are plenty of Trump supporters if only because they will vote Republican come hell or high water.

And as to "prospering" I'm curious about that statement. Trump has only been in office for about a year and a half. "Prospering" will count when it lasts some significant time. Remember, Trump has passed almost no legislation short of the tax reform and even that was a handout to the folks who live over there in La Jolla-type splendor....not the folks who live there on dirt roads.

Let's see how that "prosperity" plays out. You can talk to the Harley Davidson folks who already lost their jobs when HD did some stock buy backs and laid off hundreds. Win win win!

Yes, Putin has a genuine interest in how Democracy works. <sarcasm>

Putin doesn't need any lessons in democracy. His GRU officers now very well how to manipulate the American public via social media.

So everyone is supposed to believe that you understand Trump, when it's so obvious that even Trump doesn't understand Trump?

Pretty much all of his major actions have demonstrated that he has a complete lack of understanding for what he's doing. The corporate tax cut being perhaps the one exception, IMO.

What's sad is his supporters are so lost and ill-advised, that they will allow him to run the Republican party right into the ground... even though Trump is obviously not a Republican (or a Democrat, for that matter). His affiliation with the party will likely result in a landslide victory for the Democrats in the mid-terms (one can only hope), and could have lasting effects on the party for years to come.
