Jesus was a rabbi.
Rabbi = Jew.

Completely agree! Although I think the OP's post was an interesting question. I think in the early years of the different churches, they made Jesus look like one of their own race to help the people identify with Him (especially useful when much of the congregation couldn't read). That is the problem the Church face today. Each Church portrays Jesus as their own race or fit their beliefs. We have over thousands of Jesus' today. Mormon Jesus, Jehovah Witnesses' Jesus, Baptist Jesus, Pentecostal Jesus, White Jesus, Black Jesus, Hispanic Jesus, Asian Jesus, Hippie Jesus to list a few. I believe there is no reason why we should trouble ourselves over what Jesus truly looked like but rather come to agree that He is our Lord and Savior and died on the cross and as for what Jesus truly looked like??? We won't know till we go to heaven.
Seriously? Are you just being facetious?
Jesus was a first century Jewish rabbi living in Palestine. A rabbi is a role exclusive to Judaism.
He had disciples, a quality which defined Jewish rabbis.
Point it out where it states Jesus was Jewish?
Are you saying Jesus, the Son of God would not cast off a ''celestial aspect''
or have ''golden coloured hair''????
You seem to be thinking that Jesus would look just like everyone else - you seem to be forgetting Jesus was the son of God.....
John 10:30:I and my Father are one.
Was watching a documentary today which included this point. Also, why would he have been taking part in the Passover if he was not Jewish?Jesus' mother, The Blessed Virgin Mary was Jewish and offspring usually have the same race, ethnicity and nationality as their parents.
I really don't see how it's possible that Jesus could not have been a Jew.

There's no mention of Jesus having a celestial aspect. In fact, one part of the Bible says, in so many words, that there was nothing about him that made him desirable to people.
Exactly how do you come to the conclusion that the Son of God must have golden colored hair? Lot's of people that are far from divine have golden colored hair. (Edit: I know this because I am one of them). Vince Neil Wharton has golden hair. Should we start worshiping him along side Jesus?
Why not silver or white or red hair?
Why not green or purple? Someone that had purple hair from birth would be more convincing as being divine than someone with golden hair because no one naturally has purple hair?
How would having black hair instead of golden make one less divine? How exactly do you come to the conclusion that if one is divine, they must have a certain hair color?
Because the Bible says that that there was nothing special about Jesus' appearance. Also the Bible says that man was made in God's image and so if he was the son of God, yes he would look like everyone else because everyone is made in God's image.

Where does Jesus call himself a Jew,or Jewish?
Like I said before,Rabbi was equivalent of teacher....
How is this even a question?
Read the genealogies (i.e. Matthew 1), furthermore Jesus went through the same processes that other Jews did in his day to begin his rabbinical ministry. He's called "rabbi" throughout the NT.
When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?" (John 6:25 TNIV)
His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" (John 9:2 TNIV)
"But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?" (John 11:8 TNIV)
Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (Mark 9:5 TNIV)
There are about 13 additional verses.
Matthew 23:8:But you are not to be called rabbi (teacher), for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.
- Amplified Bible
And what about the genealogies?
Abraham was not a Jew,he is not referred to as a Jew
Isaac is not referred to as a Jew..
Jacob is not referred to as a Jew...
''Judas and his brethren'' are not referred to as Jews...
King David and Solomon are not referred to as Jews....
If you really want to get all nit-picky, the term "Jew" was not actually used until the new testament. Before that they were merely called the Isrealites, or Hebrews.
