As devotions towards Mary I used mostly use the Lutheran version of the rosary, the Angelus but when the Hail Mary is said I use the Pre-Trent version which omits (Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.) I also use the queen of heaven hymn as well and I sometimes pray to the Blessed Virgin. Im curious of what people use as devotions towards St Mary.

Devotion to The Immaculate Heart of Mary
[At Fatima, 1917] Our Lady then spoke: “See, my daughter, my Heart encircled by thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blaspheming and ingratitude. Do you, at least, strive to console me. Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five Decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen Mysteries of the Rosary.”

01 An act of spiritual communion: "My Jesus, I believe that Thou art truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things, and I desire to possess Thee within my soul. Since I am unable now to receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace Thee as being already there, and unite myself wholly to Thee; never permit me to be separated from Thee.”

02 Spiritual Communion, By St.Alphonsus Loguori
O My Beloved Jesus, I love Thee with all myheart and soul! O make me love Thee more andmore!
Come, I beseech Thee, into my wholesoul and body and possess me. Come into my
eyes and see through them; my ears and hearthrough them; my lips and speak through them:my thoughts and think through them.
Enlighten, guide, and direct me in all my actions, that onlyThy will be done in all things. So that it be no more I, but Thou who livest and reignest withinme.
The Benediction
May the Peace and Blessing of Almighty God,the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, descendupon us and remain in our hearts for ever.Amen.

I like to have an icon such as the Directress or Theotokos of Vladimir style and keep a candle or lamp illuminating it (just be careful because of the fire hazard). It creates the habit of having to attend to something and focus on God a few times a day. And honestly I notice when I do this, there is more peace in my home.

At one time I prayed a Scriptural Rosary daily. I may have to try that again. I like the idea of using the original Hail Mary, because it would be shorter. The rosary is an extremely powerful practice, particularly the Scriptural version. But I don't think of it so much as in terms of a devotion to Mary, but more like it is praying with Mary, that Mary is teaching us how to pray.

I have even chanted the Akathist Hymn in the past when I was more involved in Orthodoxy but that's really, really long... so usually I would break it down into sections. Honestly, it never really "floated my boat", there's something missing compared to the Rosary, at least for me. I really think the Angelus is a more simple practice and I like the emphasis on the incarnation.

Ah I see then I would like to have a icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary with her son Jesus but unfortunately I can't.

Can you tell me about the scriptural rosary ? Because I've never heard of it I only heard about the Lutheran rosary ,Anglican rosary, and the Catholic rosary .

When I pray the Lutheran rosary at the medal I often pray the original Hail Mary or Martin Luther Evangelical Praise to the Mother of God which goes like this "O Blessed Virgin, Mother of God, what great comfort God has shown us in you, by so graciously regarding your unworthiness and low estate. This encourages us to believe that henceforth He will not despise us poor and lowly ones, but graciously regard us also, according to your example." And I often pray the Angelus using the original Hail Mary I pray it at 9,12, and 3 pm that's when people used to traditionally pray it

Everyday I say the current Rosary with its associated mystery. During the week M, W & F I do it at one of our local Catholic Churches which has Eucharistic adoration all day on those days and I visit a differant CC on Tu & Th which also has Eucharistic adoration all day on those days plus Divine mercy chaplet @ 3pm. On the weekends I just practice the Rosary at home.

It's a Catholic practice. On each little bead of the decade, a Bible verse related to the Mystery is read, then the Hail Mary is said. It's a more modern form of the Rosary, I believe it started in the 19th century in Germany.

I used to use the Hail, Holy Queen.

Tigger... at one time I was fascinated by the concept of Eucharistic Adoration. I've never been to a chapel or service that practiced that. My understanding is that some Lutherans at one time practiced it, but it fell into disuse as the centuries passed, and today only a very small minority of Lutherans practice it.

As close as I got, on Maundy Thursdays down here at the Episcopal Cathedral they take the Blessed Sacrament to a side-chapel and have an all-right vigil after the stripping of the altar. But the elements are covered by a veil and are not in a monstrance. I spent about ten minutes one time there. At that time I was an Orthodox catechumen and was just getting over a mental meltdown that happened during Lent, and I just wanted some place that felt relatively safe to go.

Mary stated in Scripture: "DO ALL THAT HE TELL YOU". Now This is having one of the greatest Devotion to Mary, by reciting over and over again: "DO ALL THAT HE TELLS YOU. It is Her Greatest Command that a Mother of mothers can give to Her Children. Amen Amen
