Barely.
I wasn't always an agnostic. I was raised Roman Catholic, so, yeah, I know a little something about "and then magic happens". I'm agnostic about the existence of God, but I definitely know that "and then magic happens" isn't the answer to anything.
You will note that my post started with "study the Cosmos". That's a bit broader scope than just biological evolution. However did we survive before Darwin came on the scene?
So, which Hogwarts House did you graduate from? I'm guessing it was Slytherin.
And an example of Clarke's Third Law as well. The ToE is pure magic.
It is the study of evolution, not creationism, that has any hope of feeding the world's burgeoning population.
So they taught you magic at this high school of yours? You must be quite an expert in magic for you to be able to recognize it so easily.
So you would prefer living before the widespread discoveries and use of science? Me, I prefer living in a world where the food is healthier and more plentiful and isn't going to potentially kill me, where the understanding of germs and viruses help keep me healthy, where medicine doesn't require that "doctors" bleed me out to cleanse out my "humours" or drill holes in my skull to release the demons. So everything is ok now thanks to the theory of evolution?

But, hey, if that's what you prefer, more power to you.
i dont see how design is not the best explanation for gears (even if they are made from organic components or have an external self replicating system):Come up with a scientific theory that has equivalent or better explanatory* power for the origin and diversity of species on Earth, and equivalent or better application in fields of applied biology.
Until creationists can do that, everything else is irrelevant.
*(And for the record, "God made stuff" isn't an explanation.)
I do. Which is why Wageningen University is so important. Check out any of the excellent Youtube videos about how the Dutch are transforming agriculture. If anyone has answers for the global food shortage problem, it's Wageningen University and it's agricultural partners. You do understand that our burgeoning population isn't sustainable, especially by our fragile chemical dependent agricultural system. We need to go back to before science screwed it all up. We have 'outsmarted' ourselves.

I am not. It's not quite that either/or. Human nature is the enemy, not religion (creationism) or science. However, religion at least attempts to deal with the bad side of our nature. Science doesn't even recognize the problem.
Regarding modern agriculture are you familiar with the works of Sir Albert Howard?

Wonderful. If they were so beautifully designed and function so well, why didn't the "designer" implement the design in other organisms? You know, sort of how all designers put wheels into their designs for automobiles because they function so well.i dont see how design is not the best explanation for gears (even if they are made from organic components or have an external self replicating system):
I am not.
