Depends on definition of 'Christian'. Under one definition, for here, many Christians have no understanding of the Bible. OR With a different definition no one can be a Christian without understanding the Bible ? Or what ?

Well, that's true. Were I an atheist wanting to mess with Christians I would click the button and post as a Christian, especially since nobody can call you out on it. So present company excepted, I'm convinced that it happens with regularity here. Certainly there are many who have not been born agains and who have never received the Holy Spirit. That explains their complete lack of understanding.

LOL! It also depends on what is meant by "understanding of the Bible." For example, it appears to me that YECs understand very little about the Bible, yet they are clearly Christians.
