lol only a woman could multi-task like that! us blokes have no chance lol

It's not that hard to hold down the force button and secondary fire button at the same time...

Are you implying I'm a woman?

But it's so much more fun just to drop them off of cliffs.

Quite true. Especially, if any of you out there play Jedi Academy, the level when you are on Chandrilla, in the tomb of the Jedi knight. That big chasm in the middle must have been put there for something...

I've played every game in the Dark Forces Series. The one with Obi-Wan doesn't count. Wikipedia doesn't count it, to the best of my knowledge. Therefore it doesn't count.

So, yes, I've played Jedi Academy. Gotta respect the E-11 Storm Trooper rifle, it's the stormtrooper's fault they can't hit the broadside of a barn with it.

Jedi Academy's concussion rifle is near blasphemy compared to the uber-guns the two previous versions were.

JK2's and JA's lightsaber combat is the only fun lightsaber combat in the series, sadly.

I hear you. Dark Forces 2's lightsaber combat was bad, since you had to perform the whole thing from a first person perspective. I never got a chance to play the original, though, but I suspect it is the same. You gotta love the missile launcher in DF2 that can stick missiles on guys. lol.

The big question though (I know this is straying from the topic of this thread) which repeater was better? DF2 or JO/JA? I would tend to lean toward DF2 on account of it's better accuracy, though the secondary fire wasn't that great, like JO/JA's.

Actually there wasn't any lightsaber combat in Dark Forces.

They're kind of equal, DF2's you could almost snipe with, JO/JA's is only good in rapid fire and grenade-type weapon combo. What's funny is that (at least, when I played), I overheard stormtroopers talking about the new repeater rifles, and how accurate they are. Fight the storm troopers carrying them, and, all of a sudden, their shots are deadly accurate! They're almost always aimed between my eyes! Get the gun. Can't hit squat. And I'm usually accurate with the storm trooper rifle. DF2's repeater was pretty much the same as DF's, same with the storm trooper rifle, bryar pistol, fist, thermal detonators, (and that's all off the top of my head I can remember being in both games).

Oh, DF and DF2 both have a concussion rifle, but they're different. DF's, when you first play it, you'll pick it up, go to a long hallway to test it out, shoot it at a storm trooper, hear a "Whoosh!", see the gun push back, and see nothing happen just long enough for you to go "well that su-"

BOOM! on the other end of the hallway.

And the CR didn't have secondary fire.

Gotta love it.

Actually it was quite simple, and easy... if you wanted to block you faced your opponent and didn't do anything, or you could make a quick light strike, or a heavy slow strike, that if it gets through the defense almost always kills the opponent
(very fun in multiplayer- my evil brother destruction balled me which didn't harm me any as I absorbed it, but it did throw me across the room impaling me on his lightsaber... that was funny)

the missile launcher was the best weapon of all... especially when you stickied someone's face (watch'em run around in panic..)

wow...... your getting pretty technical! I can do that too..... A black handle, the blade should change from black to a blood reddish collor towards the end, and the "ON" button should be green. The lightsaber crystal should be really easily removed, but you should be able to attach permanently, just in case i dont find a better one!!!lol that was fun!
