It's a Sith Lord! What would one expect except to have him use dirty tricks. The Sith did all sorts of things like that. They followed no rules. Example: Dooku trying to drop the big pillar thing on Obi-Wan in Episode II. Example 2: Vader flinging rocks at Luke instead in Cloud City instead of just straight dueling.
Of course, when the Sith plays dirty, one often doesn't have any choice except to fight dirty right back.

<darth vader breathing> such naivette. you do not comprehend the nature of the true force. It is not evil but necessary as even such *good* jedi opponenets even use the force to push their opponents into a compromising position (EG obi wan).

This is true. It could also qualify as taking advantage of your opponent's weaknesses.

lol case in point: when i was playing Jedi Academy, i came up against two lightsabre wielding opponents. I flung one of them face first into a lava pit using the force before i had even drawn my sabre! (i dispatched the other by speeding up using the force, dashing past him and cutting him in half from behind before he had a chance to turn around yay me!)

Cool, cool. Although, one must also consider that Jedi Academy is a game - one in which moral rules do not neccesarily apply. Moral rules of the Jedi Order, of course. Not that I have any room to talk, considering that I am not a member of the Jedi Order and usually, when playing Jedi Academy, I go for quick kills usually infused with Sith Lightning.

although there is just something so appealing in using force grip to pick up an opponent and dropping them to the bottom of a cliff some thousand feet below...
As for the Jedi games my preference is Jedi knight and its expansions, then jedi II, and coming in last the academy games... mostly because of how the force powers are done in the games (for instance force speed was much more practical in Jedi knight, than the academy games)

join me and together we'll rule the galaxy.

"no! why don't YOU join the LIGHT side?"

"....shut up..."
Hmm, and then, Luke uses a God mode cheat and forces Vader into submission! Oh wait, this isn't a video game. lol.
