I think there are a number of documented cases of eye damage after viewing eclipses or directly looking at the sun. Here are a couple of links to article I found with Google:

then why were my eyes not damaged? Thanks for the second link the picture of the sun showed me where the Chinese got the 9 ways of attack from looking at the sun go figure

Some people may be less susceptible to damage based on their body, diet, or some other reason. I have read on some sites that diet can have some effect on how a person responds to sun exposure in terms of skin cancer and creation of Vitamin D.
Caffiene and other artificial ingredients affect us ways I don't think scientists are fully aware.
I am not sure that there are full studies of effects of looking at the sun directly or who may be more at risk of damage than others. I just know that there are documented cases of people having eye damage.
Maybe there is something different or unique about you and other people that practice Sun Gazing. Do you have a normal diet - typical of most people with processed foods, sugar or other things like that? Or are you more health concious and restrict what you intake?

I have a horrible diet. There is one other possibility God, But like I said chinese practice this. They got what is called the 9 ways of attack from looking at it. This goes back thousands of years, maybe what they thought was sun damage was not?

Have you had your eyes tested? They could be damaged.
I obviously don't know what you see, but I'd still prefer to not stare at the sun.

Yes my eyes have been tested and I wear a light prescription, but that has to do with Genes. I was the last one in my family to get glasses, my brother go them at 20, my dad has had them his whole life, he has very bad eyes. I got a light scrip at 30, went back this year and my scrip is the same, but I have diabetes and my eyes could go bad fast, but none of it has to do with the sun.

In space, it would appear bone-white due to the lack of gases refracting the light.
On Mars, it usually looks white, but it can look blueish or slightly yellowish depending on the time of day and the amount of dust in the atmosphere.

There is no sunset on Earth that looks even remotely like it.

Never said it was Jesus however, the light from Jesus is white, and after all God created light and judged it as Good.

I wonder if the sun will burn out because at the end it becomes black, it does not say the sky became black and not light came through, which could because by volcano or the atmosphere, but that the sun became black. Interesting.

If the government knew the sun was going to burn out in say with in 100 years do you think they would tell anyone? I would say no because all it would do is created mass chaos and panic.

Seriously, if I could go to Mars right now(and not asphyxiate), I would totally jump at the chance, if only to look at the sky there.

ever wonder what Heaven on earth will be like, I mean will we be-able to travel to other planets and visit? will God create again? seem to reason God enjoys creating and would do it again.

I know we won't need ships, but will we have them. I always loved the idea of star trek in a ship traveling space. God created all this did He not want us to see it all? Was it just to light the sky? The New heaven there will be no dark, i can't wait I have grown to hate the dark. Have you ever heard of white space? Science were talking about it some time ago but who knows with them.

I see white, but scientifically speaking it's all colors within the visible spectrum, and hence white!

The sun can blind you. Have you seen a sunburn? Have you seen what the sun simply does to our skin? Now take the eye, which is much more fragile, and imagine your eye getting sunburned. I don't think you would see a result you like.
