I feel like placing a limit on CEO wealth to $1B could help. If we have a minimum wage in this country, a maximum wealth limit could be set. People can debate how high or low this limit could be set.
No, no fixed limits are necessary. Return to the high marginal tax rate of the prosperous fifties when this country still belonged to working men and women, not Wall Street.

What actual evidence do you have other than your bare assertions?
Apparently, you are unaware of the various polls and data that has already been posted on this forum myriads of times.

Yes, it is 4K. Follow the link for all the specs.
Yeah, I just did. These TVs are 4K. Man, what a time to be alive. I got a monitor (43") with built-in speakers and a remote in December 2022, cos I wanted a TV that did not have built-in smarts, but it costed $500, but the colors on the monitor are better than that of a TV.

Edit: Monitor name is LG43UN700T-B, where I have a DVD player and a Roku stick plugged into the back. When the Roku stick gets old, I can put a newer stick on the back of my monitor, as the monitor would outlive the software on these streaming sticks.

Yeah, a high tax on the richest CEOs and multimillionaires could work. We could have the 1950s again, minus the racism. :)

The country is too big to agree on anything what may be good for one state may not be good for another. But one thing that is improving is the government is getting better at deception. I mean they have many believing that politicians can solves problems.

T.V.'s are cheaper, better and larger than anytime in the past.
I remember back in the late 60's when transistors came out. They were a big improvement over tubes. We could carry a radio in our pocket and listen to the Beatles. Now we can put a camera and computer on a phone and put it in our pocket. First computer I used in College was the size of a room. A computer bug was a real bug that got into the circuits. So I guess my answer would be electronics. My son actually has an associate degree in Electronic Engineering. He understand them a lot better than I do.

In 1965, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore predicted that the number of transistors on a chip would double roughly every two years, with a minimal rise in cost1. This prediction became known as Moore’s Law. The more transistors or components on a device, the cost per device is reduced while the performance per device is increased.

In simple terms, Moore's law is why a PlayStation 5 has more computing power compared to the fastest supercomputer at the turn of the 21st century.

Yeah, but that will not happen yet. We need a stopgap solution before Jesus returns.
The solution is the grace of God or what some call the love of God working in us and through us. All things work together for good.

True. And we must show God's grace as humans by giving to the poor and helping the world. Billionaires don't seem to do that.

What would be the solution to having a country that’s “too big”, though?
Politicians are yes, the people whom we (the people) employ, to “solve problems“. That is supposed to be and used to be their “function”.
Are they any good at their jobs?
No? Keeping voting the same folks in and the same results will be “achieved”.

But really, the whole point of having 50 (or more, if we so choose) strong, sovereign, interdependent States is precisely becuase we’re too big for a one-size-fits-all Central Government, the exact thing that you opened with.

I was thinking the same a little earlier when I saw the thread. The constant want for a savior or someone to make things better. History reveals it never happens. The person is never as benevolent as we're led to believe. But we don't remember that.

The wealthy differ from the majority in that respect. They know there's no savior or paragon that will make things better. They see human nature much clearer than most and stack the decks in their favor and build connections with others doing the same. And they're more united than most expect.

So, once again, we have your mere assertion that you have data, the data are accurate and representative of most, average Americans - but I'm supposed to scour this forum or the internet for the actual evidence of your claim.

We are told to prepare the way. It use to be very common to get Christmas Cards that talk about how "The Government shall rest upon His shoulders". So we know that God has the answers and the solution.

That is why i always laugh at people who say well a country in Europe is doing this and that. The population difference is so large, it is odd they see a small country and America adopting the same way they do government. Example health care it may work in Sweden, but America is not Sweden. Plus they do not have as many whose eating habits are horrendous and causing all this bad health to begin with.

Once again, lets see if you will recognize data and polling which well informed people have already seen several weeks ago.

What is something many of us can agree on?
I think Americans are relatively better off than other nations economically since covid. EU growth is much slower, China having a real estate collapse, Many African and South America nations in turmoil. USA is not perfect and due for a correction, but still blessed by God for the last years.

What can we agree is improving in this country?

I'm struggling with this question because it requires an intersection between two rare conditions:
1. improving
2. agreeing
