What brings you here to CF (and/or CF singles)?

Hope this finds you well.

It's been a while (2-3 years) since I last committed a post here on CF, since Erwin sold CF to a new owner, and with my personal life changing studies and trying to enjoy life as much as I can embrace, but yet, I find myself here on CF once again.

So what brings you here to CF (and/or CF singles)?

Is it the hope in engaging with folk in 'virtual' fellowship over the Internet through avatar personas, or the desire to switch off reality and the stresses of the world and to banter on endless 'game threads' (like when we switch on our tellies and indulge in soap or drama)... or is there a personal desire to live out in your walk and faith in Jesus as you do in the struggles of everyday life, even if that may include living the single path in life - with a subtle hope in finding 'the One' online?

On a personal note, these days I'm blogging and taking photographs in the hope of sowing seeds, and share in my testimony, prayers and struggles of life. I also do web design, whilst exploring a call to Christian ministry through a second degree, this time in theology and pastoral studies.

I joined CF nearly three years ago in the hopes of finding Christian support for anxiety/depression. I soon found the Singles forum, and been here ever since. I enjoy the funny chats, the serious discussions, the prayers, the encouragement, the chances to help others, etc. Everything.

I came to CF because I was bored and new-ish (had barely used it) to the internet. Forums were fascinating with strangers from around the world all talking to each other. My sister (who had been an interwebber for a much longer time) was on all kinds of forums and I decided to look for a Christian one. And I was bored and very shy/lonely, so chatting with people (or just observing other conversations, at first) was fun.

Now I stick around for the friends I've made (and continue to make), escapism from life dramas/issues, and to relieve boredom. I do not come here to find "the One." I don't really believe in "the One" and LDRs are something that I'm not particularly interested in right now.

I came on CF originally for some Christian advice and I've been here ever since. I love the friendships I've made on here. I love encouraging people on here and the encouragement I receive back. I love the fun we have on here. I just love all of CF!

Welcome back, sadly our paths didn't across on CF me thinks but again WELCOME BACK TO CF.

I joined for advice, then I re-joined in 2006 as ChristianDrew (now - penNpaper) to find fellow other Believers in Christ. Find new friends, grow in my spiritual life, and always encouraging others in Christ.

CF in general - Lots of interesting topics on the other boards. Christian perspective. Keeps me from browsing unhealthy websites.

Singles - Meet some people who aren't lost or secular. I used to know too many and, between my weakness and their influence, I did a number on my walk...

I remember you!!! Anyway, I joined CF when I was looking for people to talk to who shared my faith. At that time I was in a relationship, so I was looking for christian relationship advice, and hung out a lot in courting couples. Then when that relationship ended I moved over to singles. I've been on and off and in different parts of CF ever since, but I enjoy the fellowship here.

I've been on CF so long I think I'm here out of habit than anything else. And I still have friends here. I don't have any hopes, goals or secret desires for being here lol

Um, I think the answer why you're still on CF is my awesomeness.

I'm here because I have NO Christian friends, so it's really nice to look around at the posts here everyday, and hopefully learn something new. It keeps my thoughts centered towards God, if that makes sense? It's a lot better than browing other things on the internet, or wasting time on facebook haha. It's also great how nice the people here can be sometimes

I started out here as a Christian. The reason was to find communicative fellowship with fellow believers.

Then it changed over time and I am a non-Christian now. To maintain some friendships I've developed with people through the internet and now the addition to maintaining people with whom I have talked for years on here...to get rid of boredom.
