The Promise of the Future; Venema, Cornelis P. (with a foreword by Sinclair B. Ferguson)
cloth - 538 pages
Banner of Truth ; ISBN:0851517935
An expensive but magnificent overview of all significant aspects of future things. Always crystal clear, logical and pleasant in style, it deserves to take the laurels as the latest and best treatment of these themes for all levels of reader, setting out different views without resorting to complexity, citing advocates of each, and coming down in favour of the traditional amillennial position. This is a first-rate book, spiritually warming, and bursting with valuable information and instruction.

I am desperately looking for Baxter, but in German; there are only antiquarian copies here, if at all

bibliophile, that's the right expression...

I do not consider books to be an expense/cost, rather an investment. Who knows for how long one can buy really good books - so fill your book-shelves as long as you can (and as long there is some money left....) ;)

I'm reading Battlefield of the Mind, Lies women believe and the truth that sets them free and Glorious Appearing. The latter of which is so suspenseful right now! It's all I can do not to toss my house cleaning and Thanksgiving preparations aside to just read! Speaking of which, I'm off to finish my chores so I can reward myself with a little reading this afternoon...
