The problem here is, I don't hear folks asking for forgiveness 70 times 7, so I'm not too worried about not forgiving them for it.

Well it’s something like that. There is a person I forgave but every once in a while I feel like I should have given him what he deserved without actually acting on it.

Sounds about right, after all, we are only human. It's not good spiritually to hold a grudge, but sometimes it rears its ugly head, then I have to tell myself 70X7.

Well it’s something like that. There is a person I forgave but every once in a while I feel like I should have given him what he deserved without actually acting on it.

Only you know your situation best. Sometimes, people do deserve a kick in the butt for what they do. Many other times though, by helping to restore them "unto repentance," we also help ourselves. We just have to avoid roots of bitterness along the way.

The problem here is people people think this is addressing the eternal destiny of people. Example you do not forgive people and God will not forgive you so off to hell you go.

Jesus is addressing born again believers and their forgiving other born again believers. This is about having fellowship forgiveness in the family of God by the born again believers Father (God).
A born again believer will not forgive another born again believer then they will not be forgiven by God their Father and may suffer earthly discipline.

Parables are addressed to Jesus' apostles and disciples, which is used in training them for their up and coming ministry, when Jesus is taken back to heaven.
