God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer holding people's misdeeds against them, and has entrusted us with the message of reconciliation. (II Corinthians 5:19, REB)
Amen! I definitely agree with you there!Some of my favorite Bible passages are long passages, rather than single verses: the prologue to John's gospel, for example, and the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). But here are a few of my favorite individual verses:
God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer holding people's misdeeds against them, and has entrusted us with the message of reconciliation. (II Corinthians 5:19, REB)
As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (I Corinthians 15:22, BCP)
One thing have I asked of the LORD; one thing I seek;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life;
To behold the fair beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
(Psalm 27:5-6 BCP )
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? (Isaiah 55:2, NRSV)
2 Corinthians 4:8,9 gave me much courage in the early days of my Christian walk:
8. We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; 9 there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed. (GNT)

Psalm 23 will always be my favourite because of how comforting it sounds.
1 Chronicles 21:20 said:He was thirty-two years old when he began to reign; he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. He departed with no one’s regret. They buried him in the city of David but not in the tombs of the kings.
Psalm 46:1 said:God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:8-11 said:Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Psalm 107:16-17 said:Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wonderful works to humankind.
16 For he shatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
Ephesians 4:14 said:14 We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming;
Ephesians 5:11-14a said:11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness; rather, expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly, 13 but everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for everything that becomes visible is light.
It's a very beautiful and comforting psalm, I fully agree.Psalm 23 will always be my favourite because of how comforting it sounds.
