The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is celebrating that a Virginia elementary school has removed a Bible verse that was painted on an inside wall of the school.
FFRF announced that Honaker Elementary School students “can now enjoy a school building [free] from inappropriate proselytization.”
The Bible verse that was displayed was Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
FFRF is a non-profit organization that seeks “to protect the constitutional principle of separation between state and church, and to educate the public on matters relating to nontheism.”
