Since i've made this post I've read a couple chapters of one of his books and I do agree. Pastor Dave bought me the "Lucado LifeWorks Collection" on CD. It's awesome because its got well, his life works :) even in audio format. Talking to him last night he said the same thing you did. "He's good, and illustrative, and it'll preach."

I have read one of his books and he seems to use the K.I.S.S. formula when writing which is great! He doesn't go over anyone's head and explains things in a basic nature, which teachers should do.

I find it interesting to see that Lucado is a member of the Reformed Church of Christ, but does not hold onto to all of their beliefs, water baptism for salvation being one, but he just feels like God wants him in that church. Interesting tid-bit.
