I've listened to Imagine so many times but never thought of it as atheistic.

Neither have I. To me the song is about the roots of discord, and imagining people living in harmony with one another if there was nothing to fight or hate a stranger over, no greed, and no hunger - just peace in humanity. Organized religion has been a source of conflict and bloodshed for millennia, but that's because of the way humans have used it to suit their purposes. I think the song is more about imagining eliminating the manmade religious arsenals, not about eliminating belief in the divine. Imagine if everyone emulated the love of Christ, not because they want to go to heaven, and not because they fear hell, but because they want to shine light into the world today.

I like the original the most, but am sharing a cover of it by Emeli Sande that I think is really pretty:

I'm listening to Bob Dylan right now bc his prize he just won. There's a lot of songs I thought were somebody else's but I think were actually his. Like Make you Feel My Love. It's not originally by Adele. I like her version better tbh but I like his a lot too.

Oh & I love the cover of Imagine @Stanfordella!

I have had immense respect for him as a songwriter since the 1960s. I do not care for his singing voice, so I have really liked his songs being sung by others.

For instance, here is Dylan's iconic anti-war song Blowing in the Wind as done by Peter Paul and Mary.
