The subtitle of the book is "A Guide For Parents Whose Child is More Intense, Sensitive, Perceptive, Persistent and Energetic". I have only read the first quarter myself, but she has been talking about positive vs negative labels, understanding tempermental traits and coping with tantrums and power struggles. Seems pretty good. I noticed on amazon.com that they have copies for as little as 1.92 that are used and new is about $9.

I'm another serial multiple-book reader. :D

Just got a package from Vision Forum so I've started:

The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace
Homemaking by J.R. Miller
Marriage to a Difficult Man by Elisabeth D. Dodd
Be Fruitful & Multiply by Nancy Campbell

Does it show that I'm getting married soon?? ;) Hah!!

The past couple days I've been reading Colossians. I take my time and like to take notes as I read the Bible. I get more out of it that way as opposed to hurrying through it to (for example) read it in a year.

I also just finished, "Reduce Me to Love" and am about to begin, "The Battle Belongs to the Lord." Both by Joyce Meyer.

I sent the Amazon link about the book to my son and daughter-in-law. Kellie was reading the explanation out loud and my spirited almost 3 year old grandson yelled out "NOOOOOOOO"^_^ ;)

I have several books I am reading.

1. The Power of a Praying Wife- Stormy O'Martian:amen:
I read this already but always go back to it, like I do with my bible.

2. Every Heart Restored-Stephen Arterburn

3. Purpose Driven Life-Rick Warren
I go back to this book a lot too. I think it's a great book for new Christians also!

4. Moments Together-Mr. and Mrs. Rainey:blush:
Devotional book-for couples-love it when we read it. We read it, sometimes talk about it, and then pray together. It's by our bed. It's also good to go back to.

5. I like most of Nicholas Sparks books because I don't think he romanticizes love. To me, it seems like he's writing about real people and real lives. So I read them for my dose of 'love stories', and I don't read any other ones.
I really don't want my girls reading fantasy love stories. It really portrays love in such a false light I think. You know? Sort of like how the media portrays sex to men. It's such a fantasy that we can't live up to!:sorry:

That's just a few!

Oh, I forgot to say that I am reading about 2 or 3 more, I just didn't list them. I sometimes start a book, then stop for a short while, and start a new one. I have been trying to read Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. He is so smart that when I read his books, I feel really dumb! I think "why can't my brain comprehend this?" Then I try to read the section over again. Am I the only one that has a hard time with his writing? Don't get me wrong, I love his writings and have learned much from them! Shell
