A Body of Divinity
Thomas Watson

Puritan Theology
Joel Beeke and Mark Jones

those are the main two right now.

Excellent line up! Beeke is one of my favs. I'm picking at Letham's Systematics and his updated book on the Trinity.

Hammster,

Why have you or your staff excised/censored all of my posts in this thread? What did I do that was illegal or violated the Terms of Service?

I went back five years. We’ve only deleted one post due to a ban.

Here are two of yours.

To take a break from my heavy schedule of writing for theological journals, I've been reading biographies of 2 of my favourite people:
  1. Rod Laver: A Memoir (with Larry Writer), and
  2. Johnny Cash: The Life (Robert Hilburn)
I'm also reading Albert Mohler, We Cannot Be Silent.

JM,

I've read Bruce's first edition. I found it to be excellent scholarship, along with Bruce Metzger on the canon.

I'm reading a simpler exposition by Anton Bosch, Building Blocks for Solid Foundations: A Study of Hebrews 5:12-6:8 (2017 Eldad Press, Sun Valley CA).

Hammy, what does that mean? "here are two of yours?"
He thought we deleted some of his posts. I wanted to show him that we hadn’t

Thomas Nelson is known for its cheap, mass market Bibles but I have to take my hat off to them with the Premier Collection. I bought one last week and I can't put it down! The print is very easy on the eyes and I'm able to sit and read entire books of the Bible. The other day I read the Gospel of Mark in one sitting. The binding is excellent, the cover is goatskin with leather lining, etc.

I recommend picking one up. This is a fantastic Bible that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Yours in the Lord,

jm

The Temple and the Tabernacle: A Study of God's Dwelling Places from Genesis to Revelation
By: J. Daniel Hays

Please write a follow up note!

Man, I've been READING during lockdown. Bible, Bible, Bible like when I was first converted, dug into The Lutheran Book of Concord and really enjoying it.

Good Day, Jm

I am reading a chapter a week so far so good... until chapter 5. I can say I am a bit annoyed at this point.

Dr. Robert L. Burris did a review and he is spot on

I started reading Mein Kampf by Hitler after watching the Netflix series The Devil Next Door. I also watched Hitler: A Career and a 1945 Holocaust documentary. To understand the madness of Hitler I thought I should read his book.
