I love this song!
I've seen them live minus the vocalist James Hetfield. Rumor had it that he was too intoxicated to come out that night. They did a reshow at a later date which included the entire band. However, I wasn't able to attend that one. On that particular night I did get to see members from different bands fill in for James, including Kid Rock. (Which surprisingly enough is pretty talented.) He was able to play every instrument on the stage fairly well. Not much of a fan of him other than that though. They’ve been working with them since the S&M album released in 1999. Arguably their best. They rekindled the connection for the S&M2 opening concert at Chase Center; the new stadium for Golden State in 2019.
Interesting. I didn't know that. I think he will get in though. At least that's the prayer. Same for another counterpart in music too - Maynard James Keenan. No matter how stalwart he seems to be against Jesus, I believe his heart will cave in one day to believing. His story is similar I guess to James'. (With his mother dying)I’ve noticed the same. Kid Rock is pretty talented. Most of Hetfield’s issues stem from his mother’s death. She was a Christian Scientist and refused treatment for cancer. A lot of his music addresses the loss. The God Who Failed is one of them. He was 12 when she died.
I'm just glad that there are Christians like Skillet in their midst that play the same type of music and are witnesses to other artists and groups they are around. This is a far-out belief but I think God's remnant includes at least one member of every band that is put together. Sometimes the search has to go far and wide to find whoever that one is but anyway. One reason we don't hear about more of this is because the media is corrupt and often controlled by the enemy. And they don't want testimonies like that going out to the mainstream public. One on my prayer list is Sir Paul. It might take a deathbed profession, but I believe he will get saved too.He lost both. The father first. But her death sent him spiraling understandably. She might have lived. I’d have issues too. Most would.
I think James has come to faith. I know Pete from Type O did.
