• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What are you itching to cook?

On behalf of men everywhere, we're onto your little tricks. Posting in a singles forum and showing off your awesome cooking talents, knowing full well that guys like this is such a cheap ploy to win us over. Well, guess what, women? We're not that gullible.

Oh, and pass the gingerbread and roast pork. :p

Speaking of which, do most guys like it when girls offer to cook for them?

Honey, I hope not....because I can't cook to save my life!! I've been extremely fortunate in that the men I've dated have been more than willing to make up for my lack of cullinary skills.

Every so often, like now, I'll get an itch in my pants to make something simple....like the Pho I'm going to try next week. Other than that...I just don't enjoy cooking (and don't do it all that well).

So, unless a man is willing to live off of Beanie Weenie for the rest of our natural married lives, he'd better know how to use a spatula!

To some of us "older" guys...
A home cooked meal...even if it is simply hamburger helper...is a sure fire way to our hearts.

It really doesn't matter if I can cook better than she can...it is the effort that she went to that more than makes up for any lack of culinary ability...

(I used to cook for a living)
