Thor gets very angry when you don't make sacrifices to him. Now that you know this, what are you going to do about it?

What are you going to do about your sin problem?
You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
I don't view sin as you do, and I don't believe in a god that tortures people for eternity for a mistake such as a single lie. What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
Hey, it's Chris! How you doing? Enjoying the ban? What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
What are you going to do about your sin problem?

This is one of the problems I have with muchWhat are you going to do about your sin problem?
That's your viewpoint, not mine. I leave it up to G-dYou are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
I'm not worried about my sin problem. The non-Christian religion I belong to has a different focus. We want everyone on Earth to love each other. What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
By praying to God for forgiveness. Hoping that He will forgive my sins.
By not knowing if I will attain salvation or damnation in the next life, makes me strive to be the best person every day, every second and all the while asking directly to God to forgive my transgressions.
Those are your beliefs, not mine. You are welcome to them, but know that I do not share them, as I have said.
I do not believe that I must make up every wrong, that I must fix all my "sins". Again, my view on human nature, on God, and on sin are much different from the Christian view. If I believed the same as you, I would be a Christian. As I am not, I do not.
Do you really think that is all God sees? I doubt this highly. What about all the love, compassion, mercy, charity, friendship, happiness..? These things also exist in the world.
I think God becomes upset when one shows no remorse. When one does not try to correct wrongs which can be corrected, when one refuses to learn from their actions and the actions of others. When one knowingly makes this world a worse place without a care.
Again, you and I both have very different ideas on the nature of humans, souls, and "punishment". Christians understand all sins to be the same. I do not. It is like saying one who stole a soda must suffer the same punishment as one who has killed 50 innocent people. Both actions are wrong, but both actions are not deserving of the same punishment. A punishment must fit the crime. On that note, there is nothing to which eternal hell is a just punishment.
Why should God forgive you? Is your god not just? Doesn't he love us enough to punish those that do evil to us? Doesn't your god care?
Don't have a sin problem, and therefore am not guilty of sin.
Can I have all your money?
Yes, I should have said 'Christian' instead of picking a specific belief.
Now is there any chance of responding to my question?
Wow. Wasn't there a bible passage about taking the log out of your own eye? Why are you so sure that A) all of us are wicked and B) we care about artificial concepts as "sin"? Isn't being smugly presumptuous a sin? You know, one of those venial ones.
Sure, I consider myself moral, but the God I believe in would not stoop so low as to intercede in the name of wrath upon his/her creations.
isn't that up to god? doesn't god's holy spirit help people with knowing sin?
if so you are judging people, and this according to christian belief is up to god not you
for me i know i did wrong by the hurt i cause not because of some god, who may or may not exist
sorry but i see nothing to need help with and i'd like to see you mind your own business and if your god has a problem with me, he can talk to me
if he's such an all powerful deity why does he need your help?
You don't seem to understand that your arguments don't work on people who don't share your beliefs. I don't believe in any god or gods. I don't believe in the concept of sin. I don't believe that my (or anyone's) heart is "evil" because I do things that are wrong sometimes. I don't believe that I need to "repent" because I don't share your beliefs on God or the afterlife.Your argument does not work on me or anyone else who doesn't share your beliefs.
Sin is an idea. This idea does not exsist in reality, only the imagination.
Sin problem?![]()
If you are referring to vices, I strive to improve my moral character. I am doing something about this issue on my own.
You are presenting an overly legalistic view of life.
If I hurt others, I apologize and try to make whatever amends are necessary. If I can't do this, I strive to improve my moral character so that the problem won't repeat itself.
I will not ask anyone to take the rap for me, which is the cowardly way out.

I can almost 100% guarantee you that there isn't a single person going to hell because they told one lie. In fact, that person doesn't exist. You will not go to hell because you messed up once. You will go to hell because you have never done ANYTHING but sin. The Bible makes that very clear.I don't view sin as you do, and I don't believe in a god that tortures people for eternity for a mistake such as a single lie.
Yes, I make mistakes, but I learn from them. If god wanted perfect people, he should have made me perfect.
Hey, it's Chris! How you doing? Enjoying the ban?
Now for the topic:
What is this sin you speak of? Can you provide evidence for it?
I thought that Christians weren't supposed to judge others and instead leave it to Jesus.
If I do something mean, dishonest, greedy, or vindictive, I seek forgiveness of the person I have wronged first, and make it up to them if possible. I then ask God to forgive me, although first and foremost my transgression has affected the other person, so of course I'll go to him/her first.
Default.
If Hell is eternal, then God is not omniscent, omnipotent, or omnibenevolent. If God is none of those things, then he is not infinitely merciful, which would make our Lord Jesus a liar.
Furthermore, as I have said before, if I can imagine God, then my perception is too narrow.
