What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?

I do not share the same view of sin as Christians do. Nor do I expect someone else to take the punishment for my actions. I believe in personal responsibility. As for that, I right my wrongs when possible, and learn from them to become a better person. Only I can be held accountable for my wrongs. Of course, I do not see this either in the way that Christians do..
Because you know, if I held to the Christian concept of sin, with a need to be found 'innocent', and all of that.. well, I'd be a Christian..
If I have hurt or wronged someone, I try to make it up to them, and work things out with them. And how do you right your wrongs?
As I said, when possible. There are things I am unable to right. I learn from those things, as well as the things I have been able to right, and become a better person from it. To me, this is what life is about. Growing, learning, and being the best person you can be. Not being perfect. I don't believe God is keeping some sort of tally as to all my rights and wrongs. Rather, I would think there is a bigger picture to it all.Do you always right all your wrongs, or are there still things you haven't righted?
I don't know that this technique works on those who don't accept the Christian beliefs. Saying that I've lied, while true, does not suddenly make me believe in Jesus/all the other Christian stuff. Especially if one does not feel the need to repent for these things if they don't believe in any sort of heaven or hell. And how do you right your wrongs? Do you always right all your wrongs, or are there still things you haven't righted? If so, than what will you do with those sins you have not accounted for (if doing good did account for them) How many times have you lied? Have you told everyone about it? How many times have you taken something that didn't belong to you? Did you ALWAYS take it back? How many times have you hated someone? How many times have you disrespected your parents by not doing what they said? Did you go back and fix that too?
I'd rather share my cell with a Hindu Yogi. They're quite big on fasting so I'd can probably get his share of the grub. Plus, with all that meditation, I can probably also get some peace and quiet. And they practice celibacy. So, I'd have little fear of getting male raped.Christianity is popular because of what it claims, and those claims are wonderful but are not proven nor do many of them even make sense.
Christianity claims to give eternal life to it's adherents, yet hardly anyone seems able to explain what this actually means (see General Apologetics > What is the soul?)
Christianity diverts attention from doing right onto obtaining forgiveness for doing wrong. Which would you rather share a cell with, a peaceful Buddhist, or a Catholic who thrashes you every day but gets forgiven by God?

But then, I'm too good looking.

I do not think that the afterlife or the existence of any god or gods is knowable to humans. There are many religions, all claiming to be right, but saying that it's right and that one's religious text says it's right does not make it so, no matter how emphatically one says it or believes it.
1. By eating his food that he does not want, there will be no leftovers that can attract cockroaches and flies. A clean cell for the both of us. He benefits.Do you see how self oriented you are? There is nothing in this post about how you would affect your cell mate, only how he could benefit you.
By praying to God for forgiveness. Hoping that He will forgive my sins. What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
Those are your beliefs, not mine. You are welcome to them, but know that I do not share them, as I have said.See, but you can't try. You have to do. You have to make every wrong up that you have ever wrong. Or else there will be left over sins that have not been taken care of.
Do you really think that is all God sees? I doubt this highly. What about all the love, compassion, mercy, charity, friendship, happiness..? These things also exist in the world.Don't you think God might be a little upset when all he sees in this world is. .
Again, you and I both have very different ideas on the nature of humans, souls, and "punishment". Christians understand all sins to be the same. I do not. It is like saying one who stole a soda must suffer the same punishment as one who has killed 50 innocent people. Both actions are wrong, but both actions are not deserving of the same punishment. A punishment must fit the crime. On that note, there is nothing to which eternal hell is a just punishment.Do you not think the Judge of all the earth will punish evil doers? Do the righteous suffer the same us the evil? Will Hitler and Saddam suffer the same fate as you and me? Do they not deserve punishment? How are you any better than they? Do you not lie? Do you now steal? Do you not blaspheme? Do you not hate? Do you not dishonor your parents? Do you not create gods to suit yourself? If so, than isn't God just in punishing the wicked?

Ah, let's use a different religion than Catholic please.
Wow. Wasn't there a bible passage about taking the log out of your own eye? Why are you so sure that A) all of us are wicked and B) we care about artificial concepts as "sin"? Isn't being smugly presumptuous a sin? You know, one of those venial ones.Doesn't matter. Just because you don't believe in God, doesn't make you any less guilty. The fact you do wrong, know it, and continue to do it anyway should tell you how evil our hearts are. God has given you the knowledge that something is wrong, and you need someone to help you. You would rather do it on your own, but you can't pay that price. You will lose in the end. You have to repent, and trust.
isn't that up to god? doesn't god's holy spirit help people with knowing sin?Doesn't matter. Just because you don't believe in God, doesn't make you any less guilty.
for me i know i did wrong by the hurt i cause not because of some god, who may or may not existThe fact you do wrong, know it, and continue to do it anyway should tell you how evil our hearts are.
sorry but i see nothing to need help with and i'd like to see you mind your own business and if your god has a problem with me, he can talk to meGod has given you the knowledge that something is wrong, and you need someone to help you. You would rather do it on your own, but you can't pay that price. You will lose in the end. You have to repent, and trust.

Sin is an idea. This idea does not exsist in reality, only the imagination. What are you going to do about your sin problem? You are guilty, how will you be found innocent?
