I used to volunteer delivering roses for a local flowershop on V-day. I figured if I wasn't going to be happy, might as well bring happiness to someone else. The look on their faces as I walk up to them holding their flowers and balloons were PRICELESS.

thats exactly what we shouldn't be doing.

I totally agree. :)

I give my non-single friends a bad time when they get all mushy or weird, but in reality I'm happy for them. I pray for my friends' marriages.

Everybody goes through "down" times, so it's all right if someone feels bad about being single or whatever. But I don't feel the need to mourn my single status this Valentine's Day -- life is pretty good, and I'm happy that there is love in the world.

Valentines day really isn't anything for singles. Now as I've experienced when I had a girlfriend, Valentines day is a pain in the butt. I get her X, she wanted Y. I buy her X,Y,Z, then she complains that her life is worse than mine. I don't do anything and she thinks she doesn't mean anything to me.

Seriously, don't get down on yourself about Valentines day. If you're single, you don't have anything to worry about. If you're dating, well good for you, but you have to overgo this annoying speedbump of a calendar day. I think the singles make out.

Then again I'm coming at this from a man's point of view. Maybe it's the women make out, but why do they need an extra day when they make out all the time in dating.
