That is sadly what history is doing even currently. Remember the holocaust in Germany? Well it's happening again, but in China.

I'm always particularly interested in the ways that religious belief can become toxic and damaging, and how we need to guard ourselves against that.

Arrived at my parent's house for Christmas! Just tucked in my two baby sisters and just basking in the familiar sounds of home. My hubby is staying at his family's house for the night which is really weird. LOL I feel like a teenager again, staying in my old room with my sisters. My mom even asked me to help her finish up some sewing projects. I think I travelled back in time

I've been fond of Star Trek since I first discovered it in my teens.

I have to be honest, though; my reaction when I re-watched TOS recently was that it hasn't aged well at all. So much sexism, in particular, that I didn't pick up on the first time but was glaringly awful as an adult.

And now with all the re-vamped movie series and endless spin off TV series I feel like I can't really keep up with it any more.

Hmmm. It is almost 7 am and I am at the dining room table online here. I got up two hours ago to see if any progress was done here in DC and it seems everyone went home. So I am out of work until at least Thursday.

It’s ok as long as congress and the prez refund our pay after this shutdown is over.

So I am up waiting for my daughter, SIL and grandkids to wake up and I can start making Sourdough pancakes for breakfast.

In the mean time I was posting a couple of poems in a Men’s only thread on kilts. My wife is from clan Montgomery and they have a wonderful purple tartan.

Woke up to the smell of pancakes and sausages....fresh muffins....and giggling little girls....gosh, it's good to be home. Going caroling this afternoon and then singing and helping over the next few days with 8 Christmas eve services. We have live animals, open fires and plenty of hot chocolate...come out to our service. I love Christmas.
