What are you doing ahead of General Conference?

We are within days of the special called General Conference of the UMC. In preparation for my congregation to discuss all the issues around the GC and what the decision turns out to be afterwards, I'm preaching a sermon series on "What the Bible says about love" which includes sermons on God's love for us, marriage, child rearing, and how God expects to love others.

This Sunday will be my marriage sermon, which is certainly one of the more hot button issues of the GC.

Do any of the rest of you have preaching plans? Plans to have a discussion? Presentation? etc. in the coming weeks?

Out of curiosity, how did your sermon go?

The sermon went a lot better than General Conference went. Seriously though, it was well received by most of my congregation. A few people in the church have a different view of marriage than I do and they are less enthusiastic.
