  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. The first half is biography, not about the record as the title suggests. But the part about the record is funny. The guy was weirder than you thought, if that's possible.

You will know this by now, but Spoiler alert for those who haven't viewed it yet. Look away now. Brutus was an honourable man.
Haha... Good one. I can not wait until this PBS series is done, so I can watch the whole set.

Oooh, thanks for posting.

He had a grandfather who was a Maronite (Catholic) priest! He was of Lebanese descent!

The show Tires.

Such a boring show. Although if they were going for the realism of being at a tire shop.. mission accomplished.

At about 13:00 the video says he was a strict Catholic. Who knows for sure, but the video cites a biography (?) about him where he hired a guy named Gary Greene, for $100 a week, to protect him from sinning with female groupies. Not sure how that worked, but just one of many strange alleged facts about Mr. Tim.

I know he was on Howard Stern once. Tiny Tim was really bothered whenever Howard took the Lord's name in vain.

One of the rare times when young Stern actually gave in to the guest's demands.

Oh! Thanks for sharing- wonder if he followed the Eastern rite then.

I think he also had a grandfather who was a rabbi IIRC.

The Simpsons. Season 9. Past the golden years (IMO). Going to try to get through as many subsequent seasons as I can. Love the show.. but I've probably seen less than 50% of the episodes ever made. I know the latter seasons are not good, but I want to see every episode at least once.

Kingdom Of the Planet Of The Apes.

It was a good movie; the facial expressions were top notch. Nothing groundbreaking, but competently made with good performances all around. I have only ever watched the original film before. I'll have to watch the recent ones soon.

Not the film's fault, but I hate how some theaters have the volume way too loud. Is it for the hard of hearing? Because I imagine if one watches too many films, they'll eventually become hard of hearing.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Ah, some 2000s edgy humor. I used to love edgy humor when I was younger... but as you get older the desensitization has greatly lessened the impact. Still.. this show seems to have some promise.
