CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

New Testament History by Ben Witherington III. It's interesting, actually, and written from a Christian historian's perspective. I'm such a dork.

I just finished reading A Wind In The Door by Madeline L'Engle an hour or so ago, and now... Hm.. Well I read a book every 2/3 days, so getting new ones is a chore. Dunno what I'll read next.

Awhile back I bought The Works of Jules Verne, i have just finished Twenty-thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and have started Journey to the Center of the Earth. It also contains, From the Earth to the Moon, Round the Moon, and Around the World in Eighty Days.
I enjoy Jules Verne's writing, for he writes like I talk; very similar to Yoda... :/
I'm also working on the Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan. I'm on book 4 of 11. I was planning on getting around to The Lord of the Rings. I thought that the movies, short of the third one, bit it. Finally, I wish to finish the Shannara series, by Terry Brooks. I'm currently on book 1b of about 8. I finished the last book in the series first, which is actually the story before the first book...
