What do you think about J. White's book? Have you read Mark Gabriel's books? If so, which author do you prefer?

I'm reading A Hard Day's Knight by Simon Green. It's the next to most recent in his Nightside series which merges detective noir, fantasy, comedy and a touch of horror. One thing I like about Green is that while he is not a Christian writer he is respectful of Christianity in his books. For example, in an 'uncredited' role, (probably uncredited due to copyright laws) Aslan made a positive appearance in one of his books.

I'm also reading a science fiction novel titled One Jump Ahead (1rst in the Jon & Lobo series) by Mark L. Van Name. It's good so far, but I like humor in my books and while this one is well written there's not much humor.

Finally, The Summer of 1787 by David O. Stewart. Non-fiction about how our Constitution came to be written. It's very interesting.

Brothers by Bernice Rueben

The story of two families that escape the pogroms of Odessa to find themselves in the middle of the nazis. I strongly recommend this book. Many Jews who survived have never shared their heart wrenching experiences with their children. From what I've seen and heard, the atrocities performed on their husbands, wives, sons, daughters, grandparents were so deeply evil that their survival and not their loved ones survival brought a feeling of guilt. Bernice Rueben tells their saga first hand.
