Just finished the second book of the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer. Gonna buy the third book today and CAN'T WAIT. I read way too fast when I love a book. I want them to last longer, but I just can't.

The Broken Window--Jeffery Deaver

I keep reading Deavers books, and everytime I finish one I remember how much I dislike his work. And then I read another one of his books, and I hate it again. I really don't like them.
Am I the only one who's weird like that?

I finally started reading Gravity's Rainbow.
*gulp*

As always, I'm reading several books at once. Just finished Swimming without a Net by MaryJanice Davidson. I'm almost done with A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton and with a reread of Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward. And yesterday I started Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. This one has been in my TBR pile forever. Very good, so far!

I enjoyed The Hunted, which reminded me somewhat of Frank Peretti's spiritual thrillers.

Then I read the first 2 books in Lori Copeland's(mail-order-brides) Brides Of The West trilogy,Faith and June. The first was better than the second, even though I could not stand the intended husband and was rooting for her to get with another character who was a widower, and not marry the one who sent for her!

In both books the author has initial friction between the romantic leads and it sounds like it's going to be the same in the last book,'Hope'. So I don't have a very high opinion of this author, and this was my first experience with her work. Three books in a series all using the same carbon-copy formula for developing her relationships, come on!
