"The Battle for Spain. The Spanish Civil War" by Antony Beevor.

I Like it alot actully. All other books I've read on the Spanish Civil War have always picked sides. Either been Pro-facist litteratur from the Right/Church och Pro-communist one from the Left. This one actully mentions all sides of the conflict and does bring up some disturbing facts(like the western worlds heavy support for Franco). Since it doesn't aim to make judgements or speculate on events rather then what can be proved through documents it does turn out to be abit of what we swedish call "Dry reading". Bascily it just lists facts and reads much like a history book.

Hmmm... once again I am reading a lot but... just finished The Gravedigger's Daughter by Joyce Carol Oates ("just" as in 5 minutes ago). It was quite good, although the ending was puzzling. I'm also reading Virginia Woolf's journals (vol. 1 right now) and a book of short stories of hers as well. And - of course - a bunch of others. I never read just one book at a time. :p

Just finished reading Behind The Lines by WEB Griffin. Its about an OSS team in ww2 sent to the Phillipines to help the resistance movement there.

Check out Griffin's "Brotherhood of War" and "The Corps" series. They're both very good.
