Frank Peretti is a great author! My kids used to read his books when they were young [I did too *smile*].
Another good book, or set of books, is The Dragon King Saga by Stephen Lawhead. It's something of an allegory, set in the age of knights and kings, battles and celebrations in the Hall of the Dragon King. It's well-written and gripping. Great book!!!!!!!!!!
