Be courteous and think of her first. Try to relax.

Other than that, any advice I could give would be 35 years outdated, so I won’t try to give any, but will say “congratulations”.

Ask her what her favorite candy is and get her some before the show. Maybe have something lined up for after - is someone driving you there or are you driving yourselves? What movie are you seeing?

I would advise against any sniffing of butts though. Doesnt go down too well with humans!

Try to put your physical attraction for your date aside (I know it's hard but try).

Focus on just being good friends.

A good movie gives you plenty of conversational material for afterwards though.

Don't hesitate to converse about topics important to you; see if they're important to her also.

Be a good listener. We guys have an easier time of it, since most ladies like to talk.

On the movies you can't really talk so it will give you something to talk about after, positive is that on the movies you will get comfortable being close to each other and talking after will be much easier.

I've gotten pretty good at dates over the years. Three things:

1. Be very polite, respectful, and courteous.

2. Get her talking about her. Ask her questions about her likes, dislikes, goals, hobbies, passions, etc.

3. Keep it simple and don't overthink it. Be genuine. Just be you.
