The sabbath that is made for man... as the Lord of the Sabbath, Yeshua said.. is also a micro on the macro.. 1000 year "rest" we have to look forward to.

The Lord created the world in six days and rested on the seventh.
The Lord is dealing with sin for six days [a thousand years on earth is but a day in the Lord's court] and we will get to "rest".. the one that Hebrews is talking about.. the millinium.. Jubilee of Jubilees.

I do not know how this view can be reconciled with Genesis 2:2 describing an event in the past tense, but I am actually somewhat curious to see how Martinman responds to your comment.
