Hello.
There was a rather heated thread on the GT board concerning whether eating pork is a "sin" or against the Mosaic food laws.

http://www.christianforums.com/t7405874/

What are the EOs view concerning eating pork and how many here refrain from eating it strictly for health issues.
I guess my main question is, do the EOs have anything in their beliefs or rules that prohibit the eating of pork by EO Church members?. Thanks you

I believe only on certain days ;) as with other meats, dairy, wine, and oil. As one friends says, "we're vegetarian approximately half the year."

Well, it's not against any laws to eat it... you'd probably be disobeying the instructions of your spiritual father at certain parts of the year, though, which would probably qualify as sinning through disobedience. That's not the same thing as disobeying dietary laws, though. :p

Mosaic food laws?
Near as I can tell, they weren't followed in Christianity, until the Messianic churches started , somewhere in the 19th century

The Messianics must be right then. I mean, the 19th century? That's like, totally ancient, dude!
