When my wife and I were 18 or 19 (this is before we were married) we had visited my hometown (30 minutes from where we live) to see some friends and family. At around 8 or 9 o'clock at night we decided it was time to go home. The route we take has a very beautiful cemetery with a nice home next to it. It's a marker for us; when we hit it we know we are over halfway home. On this particular night there was a white truck with its headlights on waiting at a stop sign on the road next to this cemetery for us to pass so they could go. A short time later we went over the curve a little ways down the road. Moments later, to our astonishment, we passed by the cemetery AGAIN with the same white truck with its headlights on waiting at the same stop sign. We both immediately looked over at each other and said, "We already passed this!" And then we went over the curve again. Nothing else out of the ordinary happened. To this day we still talk about this night. We both know without a shadow of a doubt what had happened. My grandmother-in-law and my mother-in-law are convinced that there was something God was preventing from happening; perhaps an accident had he not intervened.

When I was 14 years old I got hit by a car while riding a BMX bicycle. This was before people wore protective gear such as helmets. So I wasn't wearing any protection. It was at night, I was riding fast, and I was going to cross a street that had two lanes. I looked to my right and a car was coming fast from the distance. In an instant of time, something told me (I believe it was my guardian angel) to deliberately crash straight on into the curb on the other side of the street while peddling as fast as I can. So I literally did exactly that, and the car hit the back rim of the bicycle at the very same instant that I crashed into the curb in front of me. I was still peddling my fastest at the instant that I slammed into the curb. I did a somersault over the handle bars and went through the air, and the next thing I knew I was standing on my feet without any injuries from it at all. I didn't even have a scratch. It was like I wasn't even involved in what had just happened. When I looked at the bike, the back rim was bent into an L shape, some of the spokes had been yanked out of the hub, and the hub was partially shattered from the impact. When I tell people about this they usually think I'm making it up since it sounds impossible, but I know it happened. There was one who was with me who witnessed it happen. He told me that he thought he saw blood when I got hit. And then he got mad at me because I was riding his bicycle when it happened, and it was damaged badly. There was literally a fraction of a second difference between me surviving that and being instantly killed. And it seems like impossible odds of me coming out of it without a scratch. That's why I consider it to have been a miracle. What makes this even more remarkable is that this was way before my conversion to the faith and when I was still sometimes into trouble. So I believe God was already looking out for me long before I began to search for Him. God had a future purpose for me, so it wasn't my time to go.

When I was 9 yrs old, I came very close to drowning. Me, my brother, and some friends hopped the fence of a closed pool and got in. I didn't know how to swim, so I was keeping close to the side. One of the boys got the idea to dunk me, and then they all started doing it. The problem was that before I could struggle up to get air I would get dunked again. But they stopped just in time for me to barely make it up for the last time. I think that one more dunk would have drowned me.

There was one time when I was driving on a freeway at night, and a car started spinning out just ahead while, at the same time, an 18 wheeler was coming to a stop. I think the two vehicles had just hit each other. I only had probably about a couple seconds to react, and I had to squeeze between the spinning car and the 18 wheeler. It was very close, but I avoided getting into a crash with either of them. I had to pull over at the next exit because my left leg was shaking. When this happened, I only had minimal driving experience. So I believe that my guardian angel may have helped me.

When I was around the age of 4, I went across the street, and a car nearly hit me. I remember starting across the street, and the next thing I knew, I was returning to consciousness and looking up at people. My mom and brother talked about it after, and my mom told me that the guy who almost hit me said that he nearly flipped his car over trying to avoid hitting me. The mysterious thing about it is that I blacked out for no apparent reason. I was uninjured, and I distinctly remember that I had no fear when I was starting to cross the street. So I don't think the reason for blacking out was because of fear. Anyway, I wonder if my guardian angel might have done something to keep the car from hitting me while putting me out temporarily so that I wouldn't see any of what happened.

I want to hear! :)

I have something extremely mundane, but it is utterly inexpiable to me. If you're bored enough to want to hear it, let me know. :)

When my heart stopped *I had an emergency c-section* I "went" somewhere, my aunty was there ( she died 3 weeks before it) she was holding my "hand" - I didn't feel like my body though it's hard to explain. And told me I had a boy and I would be OK.

This year at the Saturday night easter vigil in the darkness, jesus head on the cross moved up, I actually nearly screamed out. It was not a trick of the light. I watch it left and Stare..
Do they count as miraculous events :-D

Our little cousin when he was just a few months old was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and given six months to live. Many people here prayed. The diagnosis was confirmed by many doctors. Someone here was even kind enough on a trip to Lourdes to light a candle for him.

Then on a check up it was gone. No sign of it. He started hitting physical benchmarks. The old tests were looked at by over 30 military doctors (his parents are both Marines). And they confirmed it was there then it was not. After a year they said well...he just does not have it anymore. He about my daughters age and they were told he would not see age 1. five years later and they play when the families get together.

My wife's grandmother's sister passed away and then came back to life during her wake. She told them a message and described something about Heaven and then passed away (again) a little bit later that same day. The year was 1949 in Mexico. She was a devout Catholic and was 20 when she died. Witnesses said that she had been dead for 24 hours before this event happened. My wife's grandmother lived a long life after that (to her 90s) and passed away about a few years ago.

You'll regret, it's stupid :)

I clean my kitchen floors with one of those "swifters." I have a small pantry so I just have it leaning against a corner in the kitchen near the door going to the garage. I never use it for anything else and so of course never take it anywhere else. Why would I? Well I went to do the floors one day and it was gone. I live alone and haven't had visitors (as if they'd touch it) since last time I did this. I looked around, thinking maybe I left it in a corner of the kitchen, maybe somehow it fell behind the fridge...nope. I looked even in ridiculous places I knew it wasn't...eg closets, the garage.

Nope. Gone. Absolutely no clue how or why. It's big enough that it couldn't just be "hidden" somewhere. Utterly defies all logic, laws of physics etc. :) Just weird. I think Rod Serling has it.

Wow, it seems God is constantly helping and protecting you, which is great. Why do you think He won't help the millions of children who die each year of starvation and malnutrition?

He had something planned for me later in life. So it wasn't my time to go.

I avoided a motorcycle wreck at triple digit speeds, after going off the road onto loose gravel, that should have been impossible to avoid. I wasn't even trying to steer out of it, I was just bracing for impact and the next think you know I was back on the highway I just skidded off of, coming to a controlled stop. On another occasion, I passed my friend and his girlfriend on his bike, again at triple digit speeds. The wind took me into them and I knew we were going to hit and I remember even in that moment regretting that they'd be hurt or killed by my foolishness. I went into a wobble and passed them without contact.

I don't know if those were miracles or lucky chances or what, but they got my attention. I no longer ride motorcycles, and I drive slowly....I even stop when I'm pulled over now!

In 1985, one of my cousins was riding a motorcycle on a highway in Texas and had a head-on collision with an 18 wheeler. After that, I never wanted to ride on a motorcycle. I was 15 when that happened.
