As to what Kamala Harris has done, here are a few things.
In regards to immigration, she was tasked to look into the WHYs for immigration. What was driving people to immigrate? For instance, there has been a drought problem in Guatemala. In doing that, she helped to create the the public-private partnership Central America Forward (CAF). The purpose of that partnership was to create jobs in Central America along with other measures. The partnership has generated $6.2 million and involves over 50 companies.
Kamala Harris oversees the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. It led to the passing of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. That act bars people under 21 from buying guns, gave the DOJ more power in prosecuting gun traffickers and set up mental health srvices for those affected by gun violence.
As a senator, she introduced the the Maternal CARE Act and the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act and those acts were passed as part of the Build Back Better Bill. The goal of it was to improve maternal and newborn health for all types, particularly ethnic minorities and veterans.
She has been working with congress to pass things like the John Lews Voting Rights Act. As VP, she cast the deciding votes on the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan of 2021. Besides all that, she has met and worked with many foreign leaders like Pres. Macron from France and South Korean Yoon Suk Yeol.
That is some of what she has doing the last 3 1/2 years. Before that, she was a senator from California, the California AG, a District AG and a prosecutor.
