  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Really. Where's the ad hoc that we're supposedly using?
Actually, I was going on a definition someone gave here some time ago of the word. They brought out that it was not so much making it up as you go along, as making things fit a predtermined set of ideas. (Although, when I look it up, actually, I see it means more what I first thought it did, before someone corrected my idea of the word. )
Old agers believe that the past was PO as the present, which cannot be supported. They simply take the facts, like the fish thing here, and assume a same past as the present. Making it fit their presumptions of the past the same as the present. This was kind of what I meant here.

I think this really answers the question:

They were magic fish!

Where is hyper evolution in the Bible?

Nowhere. You made it up.
No, we see changes and have the timeframe they occurred. We also see things like trees growing in days. There is no doubt that it was a different past in the bible. Absolutely.
We see a kind of creature changed quickly as well right in the garden, the serpent, drastically changed.

There is no doubt that these things are myths. Things were the same in the past. Even then there were people like you who couldn't distinguish myth from reality.

Miracles and the supernatural explain every problem facing YEC claims.

Of course, the result is that when you look at YEC, you're left with nothing BUT miracles and the supernatural.

It is only the lack of the supernatural and spiritual in people's minds, that invent the problems to begin with!

You only think it is way off because you need it to be way off for your fantasy split and of course there is extensive archeological evidence of civilizations around the world long before the invention of writing.

Not as amazing as taking the absolute nonsense you embrace seriously. Your posts indicate that you are unable to separate fantasy from reality. Astounding.
This from mister no gravity before the flood! You're projecting again dad-hoc.
You can't just hold beliefs of the past and future, not backed by science or evidence, and try to call it reality!
This from mister transparent gold!
You just set yourself up for a horrible fall, like Humpty Dumpty. Get off the high wall, and admit what you know, and don't know.
One thing I don't know is how anyone could be as myth bound as you are in the modern world.

No, I can intrude on the fantasies of the PO minded who commit the sin of omission. Exposing their lack of science and evidence and proof, and leaving them in the lurch.

Ok, everyone. Back on topic.

The OP topic regards survivability of all fish species in such a massive flood - five miles above sea level, across the globe.

What was salinity supposed to be, and, how did bottom-dwelling fish survive such a massive increase in crushing pressure?

There are other questions on fish survivability, I'll get to them a little later. For now, let's take a look at these two points - Salinity Levels and Depth Pressures.

OK, I'll leave it for others. I already addressed it -no gravity (pressures) before flood, and salt being laid down pre flood, as well as in flood from up, and/or down, making salinity levels good.

Why is anyone still trying to respond to dad in a serious way? Come on, pull his strings and see him jump, it's much more fun.

To dad: the above was not meant seriously. I just had to do a calibration test on my newly calibrated irony-meter, that I installed parallel to my dad-o-meter. Posts by dad are now automatically routed through the dad-o-meter, while more regular levels of irony are measured by the irony-meter. No more exploding irony-meters, and I'm safe again.
