He that believeth in me and the literal inerrancy of Genesis, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
And he that liveth and believeth in me and the literal inerrancy of Genesis shall never die.

--From the Gospel according to AV1611.
That's cute.

What's it got to do with people not getting saved at the end of this dispensation due to the tares of evolution choking the Word, or the one's who are saved are quenching the Spirit because of the same tares?

It's got everything to do with the character in this story being the baddie.

Pretty sure people don't disbelieve because of evolution. If anything, it's the nutbar fundamentalists doing more harm to Christianity than science ever could.

We clearly disagree on that. By the way Newtons laws of gravitation were in fact replaced by Einsteins ideas. They believe now that curvatures of space-time cause gravitation not mass but the energy instead.

So it would clearly be safe to say that the theory of gravity is not fact, it is dismissed.

it was replaced, but einsteins theory had to explain not only why his was better, but why newton's version worked, and it's because the formula is still in the new theory, it's just been expanded upon.

A new theory that suplants evolution must both explain it better, and explain why evolutionary theory works as best as we can tell.

The modern theory of evolution includes common descent. If go back to my prior post, read the 'Project Steve' statement as that explicitly includes common descent.

If you want more, you can find other references for support of the theory of evolution among scientists on Wikipedia: Level of support for evolution - Wikipedia

Suffice to say, everything I have seen either from polls or statements from scientific institutions suggests the vast majority of scientists accept the modern theory of evolution (which includes common descent). If you want to suggest otherwise, you'll need to present some evidence for that.
are you also aware that most sceintists believe in higher power?

I'm curious as to how the number of scientists is so low. 97% sounds like a lot, but imagine if a poll showed that 97% of scientists say gravity happens. Who or what are these other 3% of scientists?

actually the majority of biologists believe in higher power:

So what? This discussion is not about the existence of God.

What it's really about, what creation/evolution discussions are always about is the proposition that if God exists, the theory of evolution must be wrong.

Yes, but do they worship a self-replicating robot penguin that drives an evolving VW Bug?

Point being? That has nothing to do with scientists accepting common descent.
