Wow. no one from West Virginia. Maybe everyone is ashamed to admit it . I just moved from Wardensville West Virginia. Near Winchester Virginia. I loved it there.

I'm from Kentucky, but I have an interview in Bridgeport probably next week. I'm looking for some information about the area. I also posted in the Mid West forum b/c I know that area is probably less southern. I have also been to Weirton. Is Bridgeport's main industry steel?

M.W. Smith is from WV? Wow, I didn't know that. How neat! I just love his music. He did a song a very long time ago. About 22 yrs ago.....(yikes! I'm getting old)...... he put out a song....~Friends~ I just absolutely love that song of his. I think he remade it again here recently, but not sure about that.

BTW, Bluefield is a couple of hours below me....about 2 hours or so , not to bad of a drive. I think I passed through there once or twice about 10 years ago.

Personality wise, WV tends to be a mix of Midwest and SouthEast, but at least at CF, the SouthEast is described as "WV, VA, KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, AR, LA, FL."

I was born in Charleston, WV and lived in Parkersburg for a few years as a hild.

I happen to be a West Virginian myself and I'm from the Logan area (SW W.Va.). I still live in this state. Just to let you all know that Michael W. Smith is from WV and he lived in Kenova (west of Huntington). Any other WV'ns here, please post. Thanks & God bless you all!

Was wondering if I could ask you all what is your favorite place to go camping here in WV. Our family frequent Kumbrabrow State Forest. Its a small, friendly place. Cheap too!
