We're having a heat Wave!

Don't say "beach" - I'm pining away waiting for the weather to warm up enough to swim. Which means August around here.

Went for some lovely walks on the beach in Maine during some of the warmer days we've had this winter. Love it love it!

I'm 'cited. We're going to Boston/NYC/PA this summer. Can't wait to take some fantastic pictures. I'd still LOVE to go to NYC when it's snowing though.
It's supposed to rain ALL weekend. Yuck. I was hoping to be in a golf tournament. Oh, well.

Something happened (can't have been really important because I can't remember what) and I ended up being called away from the tv just as the weather was on, so I still have no idea what temperature it got up to today.

It's like 30 degrees here, but i'm syre it's hotter.. the humidity i looked up is extreme!!!!!!!!..

Honey..my neighbours have told me we have hit 46. I will say a conservative 45. But where I live...what's 1 degree. Cold showers...plenty of liquid and a drive in the car under the air conditioner.
At the lakes they are water skiing, having barbies & swimming. So far, my air conditioning is standing up to it. But any fan just drives out hot air.
The bitumen has melted & we are hoping for a slightly cooler change.
My computer faces the fernery window...and I have had to open the window to let a breeze in otherwise I'll have one fried computer.

Talk about heat...my rosemary took it's final breath today....which kinda explains the sizzling spice I kept smelling in my apartment.

I also noticed a lot of new SA forumers entering CF...welcome ....maybe it's time to bring up State SoundOFF again...round 2

It's cooler this afternoon, but earlier today my husband's computer kept shutting down because it was so hot even with the aircon on, and he ended up moving it into the room that the aircon is in.

Bevlina ive got the fan hitting my computer dont want it to fry!

i even leant over the deep freezer earlier to cool down (my excuse was i was lookig for something for dinner tonight)

the road outside my house has melted, my brand new plastic containers i bought for my new house, have warped, the cold water tap is coming out hot enough to make a cup of coffee with!

Telol me about it Leah! I think I've fried today! Stomach cramps...the lot. Yep...I get into the deep freeze too! If only we could have a nice thunderstorm to make all of this heat worth something. But...no way! Have to have some salt soon.

A friend of mine in...oh...somewhere in NSW said she hasn't had Internet for a few days because her computer wires melted together. And her digital camera won't work, because the plastic on her batteries melted together, too.
What I wouldn't give for a bit of Aussie heat right now! It's been pouring rain and freezing (32 degrees F, 0 degrees C) since Friday afternoon. And now it's Sunday mid-day.

My cousin and I were once threatened with being sent off to the nuthouse because we were telling stories while sitting on a neighbor's wall in the pouring rain and laughing our food heads off. What do EXPECT from 13 year old GIRLS???!!!!!

WOW!!! I used to...(and stil do) splash in puddles!!! When it rains here...most of the shops go unmanned and everyone does a little dance in the street!!! Who cares!!! It's only the mallee bush bunch!!!
