• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey Pal,

Let me tell you I know what feeling overwhelmed is like. Two nights ago I had to go to the ER because I had a SEVER panic attack. I have an anxiety disorder. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. BUT I did it and I found some help and things are getting better.

Let me tell you something bro, you are going to make it. You ARE worth something. Man your worth everything! You will have days when your down, but those days will get better eventualy. Seek whatever help you need bud! No matter what. Going into the ER was the scariest thing I have ever had to do, but I had to get help. Don't be afraid to cry out for help man! Trust me I am a grad student at a seminary studying religion and my anxiety weakens me, but I find the courage and I take MY future into my hands and I seek the help I need.

I don't know you , and you don't know me. But I can say this with confidence I have 100% faith in you.

I want you to know I am praying for you.

ALSO please PM if you ever need anything. I am always an ear to listen. No matter what the question no matter what time you need to ask it. You are not alone man. Their are many who stand with you! Many who know how you feel!

Didn't God tell us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made?

Didn't He tell us that we are His earthly vessels to carry His word to the lost?

Didn't Jesus tell us to be busy with the Father's business?

You mean the world to Jesus! Your life is priceless and precious.

Will be praying for you. :prayer: Keep on doing everything you were doing to get better--meds, whatever. Try not to be discouraged about it. If we tend to be prone to derpression, or to whatever, for that matter, it' usually not an overnight victory. You have to keep on standing.

People care about you. Hang in there, bud!:hug::hug:

My mood has been severely spiking between feeling ok and feeling extremely depressed. The suicidal thoughts still come back from time to time.

I feel so awful right now. :( I would ask God to help, but who am I to ask for anything when I still live the way I do?

I'm so tired of people dying. One of my best friends almost killed himself a few weeks ago too. :(

It's just so hard.

Well, I can just say this--always run TO God, not from Him no matter how unworthy you feel.

So sorry about your friend. That is so tragic. The teen years are hard. My own son grieved a lot about some of things going on with his friends. All you can really do is try to be there for them and pray for them though.
