• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I won't lie to you. It naturally gets worse before it gets better. When an enemy is near defeat, it will become desparate. Don't listen to lies of the enemy, and realize it is trying to get you stop moving forward. It wants to push you back to the edge.

Hang in there, most likely on the virge of your first victory. Don't give up anymore ground to the evil that wants to destroy you.

bless your heart little brother :hug: you are very valuable and quite precious. it's sad you don't find more comfort and support, in these lovely people reaching out to you. sometimes it's difficult for us to see the worth that others see in our lives. depression is not kind on our hearts and thoughts... so you need to practice seeing past it's exsperiances... practice filling the holes and gaps it tries to leave on our front porch. joyful things need to be sought out and practiced.... from listening to good music, to anything that helps you obsorb both what's good and what builds you up. :thumbsup: xo dee

I'm not sure if you went already. If you have a hard time bring it out of you infront of the doc. Sit down and write out your feelings and what you been going thru. Sometimes it's easier to type out things then say them. Then give what you wrote to them.

Just a suggestion.

I hope you get better. I know all too well what it feels like to "wonder what the point of life is."

Maybe you should somehow print this thread out so that maybe if you have to see a doctor again you can take it along with you and read in the waiting room:) For some moral support...to know that people are thinking about you

It is proably a peice of the puzzle to an emotional pain in your heart.

I'm proud of you bud. Keep hanging in there. There is definately light at the end of the tunnel.
