Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Welcome!

I guess you could consider me home churched. I don't actually have a weekly fellowship thing. I see faith as a private thing and so I worship at home by myself. Do I fit in here?

Currently between Churches or having never attended a Church meeting...I would suppose..., but perhaps there is an official definition I'm not aware of.
I used to work at a city mssion and Church for the handicapped and poor of the community, but am disabled now and have to stay at home most of the time.

Hi folks........

Can't argue with that. It is better to be part of a church family! :)

Well, like with me, I really haven't found a church that I like real well. I did visit one recently that I liked but it's a little too far away for me to visit regularly. It's a United Church of Christ church. Most of the churches around here are way too conservative for me and I honestly feel more comfortable learning about and worshipping God in the privacy of my own home.

So do I Holly, I can rely on the teachings of the Holy Spirit that way and not the teachings of men. I have heard the Bible misconscrewed far too many times in my life and want none of that again. Now, I belong to God and rely on His Holy Spirit to ead me into all truths. Then, He will lead me where He wants me due to my submission.

There are so many beliefs and religions on this planet today one wouldn't know where to start to find a church. And, it's easy to become confused due to the New Age beliefs so many are entering into.

This is my sentiment too. I'm having such a battle trying to find one church nearby where I can fellowship with people of 'like mind' as so many of the charismatic/pentecostal churches I used to feel most comfortable in are entering into so many New Age beliefs.

.

misconscrewed

I wondered if that was intentionally spelled that way...but that is GOLD!

the correct spelling would be misconstrued, but I loved the way it was spelled in your post.

So many men screwed around the Bible and it's a shame that people will believe just about anything, so long the message makes them feel "good". :sigh:

And, that is the problem Tav's, New Age. Today, we have to be very careful.
New Agey stuff scares me today! So many are turning to it it's incredible! But, that's what happens when our country becomes so cosmopolitan.
