  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Welcome summer!

Summer always reminds me of Sonnet 18

[FONT=verdana, geneva, helvetica]Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm’d;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

I plan on hiding. I've noticed that pregnancy makes me less able to tolerate heat and it can get humid some days. This summer is pretty much going to be all about the fetus. I recently heard his/her heartbeat and in July I should be able to see him/her. Hopefully, the little fetus will not be shy and show me what sex he/she is, too.

We might do little trips, but I think our big ones are done for awhile. I'd like to go to Wisconsin and attend my sister's baby shower and see the baby in August, but that's not possible, unfortunately.

It's only June 15th and I am already soooooo over summer :p The curse of living in Texas ^_^

We've already taken our vacation (cruise to Mexico in April) so we'll be staying in town; probably the only "vacation" we'll get is if the in-laws go out of town and we house-sit.

Winter is wonderful. Only 6 more months. :D

6 Months? You mean 4 right? I mean snow starts in October and doesn't usually melt all the way until early May.

Right now I'm loving summer! It's finally in the 70s & 80s! I love this!

:satisfied:

Plans for summer?

-Pre-Marital Counseling
-Home Hunting
-Wedding Planning
- I started the 6 Items Challenge and am thinking about trying the 333 Challenge if I succeed.
-Go to the Beach at least once!

Personally I can't wait until the fall.

BUT, summer isn't terrible this year. I plan on having this baby in 10 days (via scheduled c-section) and my 2 weeks vacation started Sunday which runs into my maternity leave and I won't go back to work until August 27th. :) I plan on being sleep deprived but lazy all summer.

First day of winter is the solstice on December 21. And in Texas the snow never really starts. :(

The older I have gotten the more I LOVE fall. Its my favorite season.

So far the mornings here have been chilly and the 110+ degrees hasn't started....I think its waiting to sneak up on me. =/
