Weird dreams could just be you, or, they may possible be God speaking to you. If you have a dream, post it. I doubt there are many/any dream interpreters here, but I think a lot of us could help.

Yes, it's an interesting topic. I posted at length about a few dreams I had, but I decided it was best to erase the post. I'm thinking I'm a certified nutcase.

But if anyone has anything to go on about, have at it.

ok, my daughter, who BTW is (a very bright and articulate)5 year old., keeps having re-occuring dreams that my husband and I both die. Whats scary about them is that they are detailed and as she has them, she gets more and more in depth and they progress. Normally, she doesnt dream at all, or doesn't discuss them with us. But this has been nightly for nearly two weeks now. She always wakes up and comes screaming into our bedroom, shaking, crying, and it takes hours to get her reassured to go back to sleep. We have tried praying with her,(over her when she is alseep, and with her BEFORE she falls asleep), I pray for her daily not to have these dreams any longer!! we have also explained that dreams are just make-believe, like movies.

My husband suggested this morning that we rebuke satan and his minions from her before she goes to bed and after she falls asleep.... is it even possible that a child with such a love for Christ be posessed or tormented by demons???


(I should mention that the dreams began with my the whole family going swimming in my mothers pool... then it was her and the baby and my mother went to get ice cream...not at all unusual. And then it was they came back and my husband and I were both dead in the pool, and she was DESCRIPTIVE TOO! last nights dream was up to our funeral, where she desribed my mother's burial plot perfectly, (she has never been there) along with a funeral, she has never attended one, she didnt know what it was called, she just described it.)

we don't have cable and we really limit her television time(movies that we pre-screen), so the idea that this is something that she saw is not-likely. She has never seen a dead body to be able to describe it, but she was accurate with that also. This is starting to freak me out a bit.........................

Do not try to rebuke Satan. Bad idea. Read the book of Jude. I'd pray to God and ask Him what to do. I would just talk with your daughter and try to see what she feels is happening

I have a 9 year old son who has suffered with bad dreams in which he says there are voices in his head and that's as much as he could bring to tell me. When it was just dreams I wasn't too worried, but then he said he sometimes gets these voices during the day when he is wide awake! this immediately set alarm bells ringing for me. When he told me this it was the middle of the night and he was scared and so we prayed for him several times and when he was ready to go back to bed I told him that there is no need to worry because Jesus is the most powerful person in the whole universe and if he is ever afraid, then he could call out to Jesus to help him and he will be there and the voices will stop. He slept well the rest of the night, but I was still concerned so I told my mother & father in law and we all prayed for him together the next day. Since then we haven't had any more of the dreams or voices, but I'm not letting my guard down, it's made me realise that we have to pray for protection for all of our children cuz they are not immune to the devils evil ways.

I really feel for you, I know what is happening to your daughter is very scarey, but I pray you will be strong in the Lord, and if rebuking the devils is what it takes, then I say rebuke him, he has no place messing with our childrens minds!! we have the authority to do it in Jesus' name.

I am by no means an interpreter of dreams, but my pastor's wife is. She was talking to my sister about one of her dreams and told her that when someone is dead it means that they are unaware of something. My sister had a dream about my family. She was laying in bed with me and she saw a monkey next to the bed talking to her. The voice of the monkey was that of my oldest sister's voice. The monkey started to get angry as we talked and eventually attacked us. When the monkey ran we chased it but we ran into our parents. Our parents were the one's that were dead. The dream goes on but my pastor's wife told her that being in a bed with someone means that you have an intimate (non-sexual) relationship with someone. You can discuss almost anything with them. A monkey represents a spirit of mockery. The fact that the monkey had the voice of my oldest sister showed that she had this spirit on her. My parents weren't unaware of this but they avoided it. My point is, not everything that we see in our dreams means what we think it should mean. We can always pray about the meaning of a dream or even pray for the gift of interpretation ourselves.

Very true. Each dream is different. One cannot always use the same interpretation of symbols in different dreams.
