weird dream

so I had another dream last night, where I dreamt about my ex. I cannot remember everything, but I remember a friend of his, came to my flat (where we used to live together), and he pointed out there is something wrong with the roof. He was not the only one in my dream who pointed out something about the roof. I live on the second floor of a three story building, so stricktly speaking there can be nothing in the roof. This friend of his started knocking down part of the ceiling, and later came to tell me that I should get someone to remove whatever was there. I do not remember what it was, just that it was bad.

i dont know what it means.

In another dream this afternoon, i was going through letters my ex used to give me, and the real ones that he gave me were all there, but then there was also a letter from the year 3000 (all were numbered according to year), and it confused me in the dream. Is 3000 a significant dream number?

OK, so i did some internet research about the symbols in my dreams, and here is what I found:
the ceiling of my flat refers to my state of mind, and because there is something wrong with the ceiling, I guess I need to revise my thoughts, most particularly about my ex, because he keeps coming up in my dreams
the reference to the year 3000 refers to the passing of time. So I guess the two dreams could go together, and maybe God is telling me that I will be able to change my thoughts in time
I just hope it does not literally take until the year 3000 for me to actually come to that point! haha

I have to tell you Hope, I have never stopped dreaming of my ex even after so many yrs. Sometimes he symbolizes Jesus our Bridegroom and other times Adam, of the carnal mind. Seems that God simply reaches into the hidden dark crevices of our minds to sort through files for mysteries of symbols for us to analyze doesn't it?

I;m wondering about these friends who are also pointing out the problem... Perhaps the Lord is saying to listen carefully to glean though others, or will offer you good advice through friends. Wisdom through a multitude of counselors. If He is the one pointing something out to you He will confirm.

1000 is a number of complete maturity. 3 is of conforming as in the 3rd day of the creation. We are conforming into the image of Christ. 3000 would mean living in the fullness of Christ as God intended in the plan. I believe God is showing you He has a goal for you He is setting up for you to grasp. That it's obtainable and the reality of the vision will be given you in a way as though you are able to hold it literally, feel it in your hand. That it is a letter (I believe symbolic from your heavenly husband) and the details and personal direction will be revealed to you.

All in all it's a good dream. Hope you will share when you open the letter to discover what it says

I would suspect that none of us really know what your circumstances were that caused your divorce, but it would seem that perhaps you have soul ties with your ex that is involved in your life in some way.

In marriage, it is the man who is the spiritual head of household and is supposed to provide spiritual covering over his spouse and children. The fact that you are no longer married tells me you no longer have a legitimate covering from him. Or, that you still do in a way but the covering is not bonafide.

Even though you may have gotten a divorce, the Apostle Paul in the New Testament stated that exes may reconcile, provided they haven't had sexual relations with others after the separation. Actually, Jeremiah 3:1 said it would be an abomination if a woman had sexual relations with a man following a divorce and then reconciling with her husband. I would assume the same applies to a man.

Having said this, the 3000 could symbolize how God may view your marriage in that spiritually it's considered permanent, or very long term. The year 3000 would be rather symbolic. Outside of this, I'm not big on numbers and would advise anyone not to be enamored by them.

Your dream could mean any of these things, depending on your circumstances. Or, it could be neither. If your marriage ended because of an adulterous affair, the dream would still make sense.

@RiverDays, I see what you are saying, and I'm also hopeful that this is the case that God will reveal something to come!

@Bobinator, we were engaged, not married, and yes the relationship ended with him cheating and then leaving me for the other woman. Lots of lies. I adored him, he was my soulmate and I gave my heart to him. To me it was a huge loss, much like death of someone you loved so much...

(?) Note to imply that Hope was sleeping with her bf, which is none of our business either way.... but I haven't seen this stated in the Bible Bob.... I was under the impression God would know if someone were sleeping with another before or outside of marriage. The Hebrew wedding was considerably elaborate. The actual tying of the knot took 7 days with witnesses present, a lg celebration was given days before and after as well. Doesn't it seem right to you that God wouldn't know if this event took place or not?

I think that what you might be refering to me being able to hold something in my hand, may be the degree i'm busy with (im studying part time). So maybe I should finish that first - as a goal that is being set for me to reach.

I also am not of the opinion that sex before marriage results in marriage before God..
Just my two cents.

well if having sex qualifies one as being married, there would be no sin in having sex before marriage, since sex = marriage... But I dont wanna go such a discussion right now. Thanks for your inputs into my dreams...
