Hi , I was curious if anyone knew of any good weight loss or tone up tips? I'm 4'11" and about 105 lbs. I'm not really interested in losing the actual weight, but more so the inches. I wear a size 7 pants (in juniors) which seems kind of big for a 4'11", 105 lbs gal. My body has always been unproportioned like this, and it's the strangest thing. I'm not sure if I need to just lose weight and diet, or tone up, or both. Does anyone/has anyone had a similar experience? Or does anyone have any advice?

I'm also a vegetarian (no seafood either), and I tend to eat A LOT when I'm bored or, I just eat because I think, "Mmmm, that taste's good, I think I'll eat it". :help:

I'm in the same boat you are. I'm 5'1" and weigh 125. I'm unproportional, as are you. I too eat just because something tastes good or because I "just feel like it". I've found that if you need to eat something because you're bored, make it a healthy snack, like fruit or a veggie. Also, cut down on how MUCH you consume. I'm trying this and have lost 2 pounds so far. I'm also trying to get exercise whenever I can! Hope this helps you out! Good luck

Thanks for your reply! I'm glad I'm not the only unproportioned one around here, ha. ^_^ I will try to do what you suggested. I always get cravings just to eat food because it tastes good. I think, "A burrito would taste good, lets eat one", reguardless if I'm hungry or not. I have a weakness for bagels and burriots, I guess. :yum: I think I'll go work out some, thank you!

 <-- That's me doing jumping jacks, hah. ^_^

One thing you could do is get to the gym and enroll yourself in a couple of aerobics classes and force yourself to go the first few weeks. After that, your schedule will be second nature and you'll cut yourself right up.

Yeah, def. exercise. I constantly see people thinking they can lose weight and get all nice and fit by just taking some diet pill or eating the right things. Your body needs to burn away any carbs that you have, then it turns to its next source of energy, which is fat. So the only way you can lose weight is by first burning up the carbs, then it starts burning fat, which means exercise is the only way you can burn all those carbs away and catch up with yourself. :) Maybe I helped a little bit, idk. lol

Well,
I think if you think you're overweight, you should lose the weight through exercise.. If you eat a lot, and dont exercise, it stores as fat.. You need exercise in order to use the energy.. I'll tell you what, once you start working out, you'll have alot of energy and you'll feel 100% better.. :D
Eat right and exercise and Im sure you'll be alright.. If you're not getting protien from meats, since youre a vegetarian, you should find other ways to obtain protein for muscle toning...:)

Hope this helps!

Thank you all for the replies. :) I do always feel really good after I exercise, but just making myself exercise is the hard part. I do take a B-12 viatmin, but I should start taking multi-vitamins, like my dad says. Does anyone take any kind of aerobics classes they really enjoy? Or anything like karate, tae bo, or kickboxing? I'd really like to take a kickboxing class, myself!

To raise your metabolism and lose inches faster, aerobic exercise is the best. As was said before, you can do this through jogging, running, swimming, bicycling, rollerblading, or just jumproping and doing jumping jacks and the like. Just get your heart rate up, but not too much! And again, you also have to watch what you eat, etc. Go to Jamba Juice, they have excellent smoothies and juices and wheatgrass and such ^_^ *works there*!!
